Listen to what Shapiro has to say.
They can move to another state, which many are doing mostly for tax reasons . . .
why are trans activists insisting on children being subjected to these life altering medically dangerous treatments at ever younger ages, to the point that they’re recommending that very young children be allowed to have these treatments over parental objections?
Because they are 0.1% of the population and cannot reproduce. A trans”man” can have a child but that does not fit the normal biology and, the chances are, that kid is going to be really screwed up or flee that parent. There is no research on the children of gay marriages. It’s just not allowed and the few instances where it has been done, it can’t get published. Imagine anyone trying to study the children of trans activists.
Ronald Reagan’s old joke about the scariest words being “Hi, I’m from the federal government and I’m here to help” takes on new meaning in the therapeutic state. Common sense is a hate crime and children are the property of whatever agency chooses to take control.
Until Democrats make it Federal policy and/or get their pet judges to ratify it.
I understand why the LGBT+ alliance was made a generation ago. Each group was an outsider looking for change. But why does it persist today? The ‘L’ and ‘G’ and ‘B’ do not have any issues worth battling anymore. As Dave Chappelle jokes, in the LGBT+ car of life, the ‘G’ and ‘L’ are in the front seat and others are in the back. The people in the back are now driving the car and I am surprised that this is persisting. It could be that there is another cause (anti-religiousness or child indoctrination) that is a new unifying force. Beto implied the former during the recent CNN town hall. If that is the case, there can be no amicable outcome with the current LGBT+ alliance.
You are citing a lot of very intense information in this post. Can you back it up by inserting some of the links where you are reading this into your post? I’d like to see some of the resources and data – this is very very bad. I agree with you.
The Left uses Marxist Identity Politics to create a victim hierarchy. How can a person that is well off with “white privilege” become a “victim” and move up the hierarchy and get the fawning adulation of other Lefties? Turn your child into a transy-child. This enables the parents to jump to the top of the heap. That is the ultimate motive for a Leftist.
There is a rare psychological disorder called “Munchausen Syndrome by proxy” (MSP). With this, parents cause injuries to their children to get sympathy from others and the medical system. Some of the transy-child movement is probably a variation of MSP–call it “victimization syndrome by proxy”.
Shapiro is weak on this issue, believe it or not.
LGBT indoctrination has been going on in the schools for some time. Shapiro’s libertarian instincts lead him to decline to object if such policy is mandated at the state level, because he can move. For some reason, he thinks that such totalitarian action, in violation of a parent’s rights to raise his child as he sees fit, is acceptable at the state level. He acknowledges that, if such a policy was put in place at the national level, he could leave the country, but he doesn’t seem to think that this is an acceptable alternative.
I agree, actually, but I think that it is also unacceptable to do this at the state level, or even the local level.
On the specific issue of LGBT indoctrination in schools, I think that school choice is the best solution.
And yet, Ben Shapiro has been an enabler of this tyranny, with his consistent effort to drive down and limit support for “Orange Man Bad,” thus increasing the likelihood of the left taking complete power in the next election, after which either John Roberts will flip to “save the court” or the number of “justices” will be increased to whatever number needed to rig future decisions.
There are plenty of kids who are less than resolute in their sexual identities, which makes sense considering that they are only just getting a sexual identity. Meddling with a kid’s sexual identity by anyone other than a parent or an expert is an evil, pure and simple.
There is no such thing as an expert.
Frankly, I wish parents wouldn’t ‘meddle’ either. Anyone who tries to indoctrinate children learns that there can be disasterous consequenses. Where a kid is deviating (for lack of a better word) from the norm, the best response is usually no response, and a distant watchful eye.
Completely not thought-out thoughts: how is encouraging a sex change not sex-offender territory? Is there any other way can we make the more egregious inculcators radioactive? Is there such a thing as educational malpractice? If we are to have an NEA to ‘promote’ educators, can we produce a national organization to ‘dis-promote’ non- and anti-educators? Because this stuff isn’t based on verifiable science.
I’m going to assume, based mostly on the if-smoke/then-fire principle, that there are people in this world who, after discovering that they believe themselves to be the sex they are not born as, find living to be better after hormones and surgery and the whole ball of silicone. I will even accept the idea that providing hormones/surgery/silicone isn’t medical malpractice per se.
But doing this or encouraging this in children is malpractice. And it is being done in secret.
That is what sex offenders do; they get children away from their parents, talk about sex with them, and tell them to say nothing to their parents.
One last thought; imagine if, instead of sex, this was religion. A kid with atheist parents has a friend who is, for example, a Christian. Kid tells his teacher that he kind of wants to be a Christian. Teacher sends him to a guidance counceler who takes the time to help him get in touch with his inner Christian by teaching him all about the Second Testament and baptism and conversion.
Something tells me that this wouldn’t be greeted with equanimity by most people and most law.
Except that school choice is meaningless when there are laws mandating what will and will not be taught.
Good point, this.
Beto had trans and children-of-trans at his Townhall. It was fascinating to see the Alpha Victim black&trans literally sieze a microphone from a mere mom-of-trans so he could roar incoherently for applause.
Still, the mom-of-trans was at least a player, got an invite, got to speak briefly into the mic before having the cause Transsplained by a man dressed as a woman.
One of the purposes of all of this is to appropriate our culture. To dispense with what has happened in the past; to re-formulate who we are as a people, and a culture.
For instance: Pulling down Civil War statues was wrong on two accounts: it erases history and it involves a great expense. Many people who went along with it, as they did not want to appear to be indifferent to the emotional angst that the statues were supposedly invoking in African Americans, found out later on that the high expense of the pull downs meant fewer art, drama, music and sports programs in their school districts. (It is so often the school districts that suffer when a major undertaking occurs.) Then and only then did they wake up.
With the insistence that the trans gendered movement must be offered the nation’s center stage, with full lighting, and that each and every school must spend needed monies for a separate trans gendered bathroom, the targeting of needed educational funds continues.
Our children already rank at between 23rd and 28th among other industrialized nations as far as reading, math and science abilities. Now funds for teaching as well as classroom schedules and time are further targeted. By all means, isn’t the most important dollar and minute bang for our energy to be given tot he transgendered issue? (sarcasm meant)
What better way to find out how a teacher stands on progressive issues, right? Should a teacher balk on his or her assignment of telling 2nd graders about trans gendered issues, perhaps they need to find themselves a different career…
And parents who remember how their parents dealt with such a normal part of growing up as a young girl playing with a play gun or a play truck, or her young brother clumping along in mom’s heels, they might expect a visit from CPS. Unless they start making doctor appointments for the sex changes the new society is expecting to have underway.
Excellent point. We see that same phenomenon here. I have voted for Republican candidates with less than complete enthusiasm for years. The NeverTrumpers seem immune to logic that way.
The Johns Hopkins clinic closed because of the number of former patients that came back asking to be returned to their original gender or committed suicide. The former Director of that clinic is now a nonperson in the eyes of the Trans left.
This article from 2017 in the Baltimore Sun is detailing how the sexual reassignment clinic has come back to life at Johns Hopkins. (Click on the underlined word “back” to read the full article.)
I think there has been blowback against male-to-female trannies (Yes, I said it!) from some feminists because they “aren’t real women”. However, this story seems to have vanished . . .
Absolutely.
That whole thing was excellent stagecraft. Were any of the “performances” at that Town Hall legit? I assume the whole damned thing was scripted. Even the man who asked Elizabeth Warren to respond to traditional views appears to have been a plant.
Anyway, you saw the hierarchy working itself out. Those with the most intersectionality points get to set the agenda. If “Blossom” was Muslim, he’d be invited on stage as another candidate for the Dems.
Except that all this nonsense is accelerating rather than declining under Trump. LGBT causes seem to be the main business of government bureaus with Orwell like indoctrination on screens and the use of the wrong pronouns can result in severe consequences. Trump hasn’t done a thing about it. I doubt he cares.
Trump is not the savior. The Democrats are worse of course. It all stinks.
I have done a few posts on the this topic. You are correct. Schools, parents and the medical community are all complicit. But it’s not an issue for the federal government.
Martin,
So corrupt is this that it almost induces moral despair. We must not despair but resist. The behavior of therapists in this arena is so negligent as to be criminal. It should be criminal and it once was. It should be made criminal again.
Regards,
Jim
What in the world would you expect him to do ? He has been tolerant of gays for years. This is a cultural thing and not part of politics except the Democrats seem to think it will work to their advantage. Soon women’s activists will realize how this is destroying women’s sports. I suspect the trend will peter out, so to speak.
It is an issue for the Federal Government. It is Fed dollars that help boot up our school systems every August to June each FY.
Also it is the Federal government that runs and manages all the various programs that have to do with taking such issues as diversity and Civil Rights off the back burner and shutting down the entire oven until we as a society guarantee the rights of every LGBT to supersede the rights of everyone else.
It is one thing when the focus of schooling involves having some ritzy public school in the suburbs to enshrine an entire bathroom over to the trans gendered HS students. (Of which there may only be a handful.) As pathetic as the policy may be, at least the suburban schools have some money.
It is quite another thing to force some little public school in the back woods of Colorado to design and build a bathroom for the trans gendered, when:
A: there are not yet any trans gendered kids at that school
and
B: the school will have to divert every single penny it has to accomplish this.
It shouldn’t be the feds, because the schools should have local control. Let’s get rid of the Dept. of Education!
Of course those laws much be changed. School choice in New Zealand meant doing away with such laws and the centralized bureaucracy that ran them. Parents and teachers were put in charge of every school and schools competed for students who could go to any school. We’re bigger, it’ll be more difficult, but any state or city could choose to move in such a direction and given the ideological corruption of the organized interests I don’t see that we have a choice. If schools are run by a centralized system of any kind, they will be corrupted. We have some outstanding private and religious schools that are independent of the bureaucracies. The one four of my grandchildren attend is tiny, chooses what it’s students learn and study and is outstanding in all respects. It’s expensive. New Zealand funded the schools based on student enrollment, we couldn’t do that. We must move toward vouchers. We must understand that any centralization will be run by the interests that ruined so many of our schools.
Absolutely.
It would amazing if the President dissolved the Dept. of Education, and the left suddenly started defending Betsy Devos.
Forty years ago if someone said, “The Trans Lobby is coming after your children,” we would have wondered where they wanted to transport them to. Is this like school busing?
