Who from the FBI Threatened George Papadopoulos?

I’ve been listening to his book “Deep State Target” by George Papadopoulos. When he arrested at the airport by Mueller’s goons, one of them said, “This is what you get for supporting Trump.” I think he told a similar story when interviewed by Mark Steyn. Has he ever identified which FBI agent said that?

I think it’s time for there to be repercussions against Mueller’s team. People need to lose their pensions and go to prison. The leak of Trump’s call is just another example of the Deep State being out of control. I knew that investigations are on-going, but it would be nice if something happened in my lifetime.

Richard,  the rank criminality of these Agents should have been exposed long ago.  That we still don’t know who they were is a national shame , although I appreciate Columbo’s suggestion of Strzok.  But really any agent even remotely involved with this illegal Gestapo style arrest should have been arrested long ago.

But that brings up another very sore point – Where are the arrests and the prosecutions after all this time? Much of the Criminality is an open and shut case – there is not a great deal to investigate here and there is absolutely no legitimate reason to hide it from the Public. It has been over 4 months since both Barr and Durham have been appointed,  and so far we have seen zilch- nada on the prosecution front while all these traitor miscreants like Brennan, Clapper , Comey and McCabe grab lucrative Media jobs that allow them to spew the nonsense that there investigations was somehow in the interest of the nation. To most people who generally only mildly follow the details of these things because of the way the Media has skewed the facts,  it would appear that it is Trump, Barr and Durham who are the bad guys in all this.

This is a very serious issue. Many here at Ricochet clamor on and on about civility and our present lack thereof, but fail to understand that fundamentally Civility in a civil society is only possible where there is the impartial application of the Rule of Law, and where people need not feel threatened when they speak the truth. That said unfortunately, some here at Ricochet, most Never-Trumpers,  most Democrats  and much of the Media now encourage the squelching of the truth and the criminal intimidation of those who want to speak the truth as was done to Papadopolous. In such an environment you can say Good Nite Irene to Civility pretty damn quick.

Another question.  Who in the IC is talking about the contents of the president’s phone calls with people that don’t have a need-to-know?  Why is the CIA like a bunch of school girls gossiping on the playground??

Ive long thought the Papadopouls story was the best entry into this labyrinth. The fact they tried to plant 10 thousand smackers on him and were waiting to arrest him for it is real cosa nostra style behavior.

I have lost all respect for them.

And people are saying Trump is dragging down our dignity! How about Congress?

These idiots promoting 16 year-old girls throwing public tantrums? Biden strong-arming smaller countries and bragging about it. Clapper, Comey, Strok and other traitors to the American people ?

We know this. These are provable facts of criminal behavior in our federal government.

The gOp leadership in the House and Senate are a bunch of pansies.

Your analogy if apt -I think the Ukraine play followed the same techniques as the Blasey play. There have been willing players at various positions since Trump was elected. It’s not an accident that a CIA staffer made an accusation from behind a cloak of anonymity. And not an accident that there are still players who are willing to set Trump up. I don’t think this will be the last.

If I was IG, upon seeing the complaint I would have immediately started an investigation into how the complainant got the information.  Also, why did the IG not know that the whistle-blower law doesn’t apply to the president?

We are learning.  CTH is my go to place.

It now looks like the Lawfare network constructed the Schiff Dossier, and handed it to allied CIA operative Michael Barry to file as a formal IC complaint.  This process is almost identical to the Fusion-GPS/Lawfare network handing the Steele Dossier to the FBI to use as the evidence for the 2016/2017 Russia conspiracy.

The gOp leadership in the House and Senate are a bunch of pansies.

Paul Ryan is now joining the Fox News board and encouraging them to “move away from Trump.”

    https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2019/09/who_is_responsible_for_the_impeachment_circus.html#ixzz60iwkeYu2

According to Vanity Fair, he will be joining the seven-member board of the Fox Corporation, which will be run by Rupert Murdoch’s eldest son, Lachlan.  In this position, Ryan will have a role in, among other things, overseeing Fox News.  That is unfortunate.  For realize that the purveyors of fake news whom the Trump-nation loves to hate (Jim Acosta of CNN, Rachael Maddow of MSNBC, and Chuck Todd at NBC, and all the rest) are not independent journalists.  They are more like puppets whose strings are pulled by corporate higher-ups from behind the scenes and out of public view.  With his position on the board of Fox Corporation, Ryan will now, to some degree, be one of those puppet masters in shadows.  Now, that’s a sobering thought.

    Update from Thomas Lifson:

    According to Vanity Fair:

Among the powerful voices advising Lachlan that Fox should decisively break with the president is former House speaker Paul Ryan, who joined the Fox board in March.

See how that works?  Ryan will get invited to those NY cocktail parties now.

I’m not certain Papadopoulos  was arrested at the airport, at least, I don’t recall any charges being made at that point. But it is interesting that he was detained with some high expectation of finding a reason to arrest him. If $10,000 was used as bait there is likely some record of that. AG Barr has said this is part of the investigation so if the pretext for the detention at the airport was constructed by law enforcement, we should find out.

He was detained without being charged, which should, be unconstitutional

I’ve never thought Papadopoulos is a man whose story is totally authentic as he seems to me to be a hero in his own mind. On the other hand, there is no way to refute his version of the airport “arrest,” nor is there any way to prove it.

It’s consistent with what they did to Gen Flynn.

I understand. If Soros or an agent of Soros furnished it, we are truly facing an undermining of the rule of law with big trouble ahead. If the money was furnished as bait through established law enforcement channels, there is a record.

Rush interviewed him for his newsletter.  What our law enforcement did to this man and his then-fiancee was disgraceful.  Those agents-even if acting under orders-should be canned, as well as the people giving the orders.

AS far as I know, that record has yet to be produced other than his testimony that he gave it to some lawyer in Greece for safekeeping. The lawyer has yet to verify this?

You attributed my comments to Richard Easton by mistake. I would just like to clarify that my skepticism of Papadopoulos does not come from media slander but from my own observation of his podcasts and direct interviews that I have observed. I don’t know for sure one way or the other if everything he’s said is true; it could well be that he’s absolutely telling the truth. Maybe I could fully believe him if the mysterious Greek lawyer would come forth to verify the $10,000. Ultimately, it really doesn’t matter what I think as I’m just a lone woman sitting here at my computer in Seattle, WA.

Sorry. You learn a lot more about him from the book.  I haven’t heard of any podcasts.  The Trump administration minimized his role for their reasons, which were valid, but he never claimed more than he did.
