What fun! You are such a master of poetry. (I assume you composed these beauties.) Here’s my offering/haiku:
The autumn light dims
Nestling into sleepiness
Colors rest, and sigh
Yes. Thank you.
Ditto! And here once again for your reading enjoyment is my Dog Haiku, which may or may not have the technical syllable arrangement:
Today I sniffed
Many dog butts. I celebrate
By kissing your face.
Funniest Haiku ever. Wait, I don’t remember any other funny Haiku. But I’m sure that if there were a thousand, yours would be the funniest.
How does it scan in the original Labrador?
Impressive poem, Arahant. Also the hardest lines (the ones I’ve quoted above) I’ve come across in quite a while.
Thank you. As you probably noticed, the third line is key to the poem with the colors refusing to blend and creating their own poems in different metrical systems, meters, forms, etc.
It’s pretty ruff.
You can’t see me right now but I am facepalming. And that brings me to our next Dog Haiku! I know, right?
I sound the alarm!
Paper boy! Come to
Kill us all! Look! Look!
Look! Look!
I’m here all week.
I rather suspected we’d see a poetic transition from August to September. Perhaps someone will answer with a photo essay, or seasonal music. Or maybe answer this poem with haiku for the end of summer or beginning of autumn?
Later in the month, any Oktoberfest reports?
