Ruh-Roh!

Try as they might, the Obama Administration just can’t get this story behind them. From Fox News:

The State Department’s Office of Inspector General is investigating the special internal panel that probed the Benghazi terror attack for the State Department, Fox News has confirmed.

The IG’s office is said by well-placed sources to be seeking to determine whether the Accountability Review Board, or ARB — led by former U.N. Ambassador Thomas Pickering and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen — failed to interview key witnesses who had asked to provide their accounts of the Benghazi attacks to the panel.

As the Fox story goes on to detail, a few of those who weren’t interviewed will be appearing to testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee next week. Appointment television.

It’s good to see we’re digging deeper into this — sunshine being the best disinfectant and all that. But one has to wonder: what, if anything, could come out of those hearings to shake the general public from their relative indifference to this story?

Ben who? Never heard of the guy.

OMG its Justin Beiber! He’s totally my fav.

Maybe if it turns out that Mitt Romney strapped Seamus the dog to the Benghazi consulate.

It’s the mainstream media that has to get interested. Since neither Jodi Arias nor Amanda Knox were in Benghazi, it’s hard to see how the media would be.

Let us not ignore one of the most ignorant and insensitive comments to have ever escaped the lips of John Kerry. When questioned about the murder of our ambassador in Benghazi, Kerry replied:  “We’ve got a lot more important things to move on to and get done.”

And, of course, the Carney (circus carnie?) and Kerry show continues apace – because if things happened “a long time ago”, I guess they don’t matter anymore.

Is 7 months a long time if you’re a relative or friend of the deceased?  Or if you care that the administration has been dodging responsibility for its actions for that long?

What difference does the public opinion make in the face of criminal negligence ? And if this is not criminal negligence, then don’t the actions of certain government officials automatically trigger specific acts ?

I think these are ploddingly stupid questions in the face of such a massive coverup paired with an across-the-board media compliance,  and we have been muscled by the DemocratThugMedia into some kind of “please sir may have i another” mindset.

Too bad the cops and the prosecutors  have all been paid off on this one.

Oh Congress , Where Art Thou ?

Yes, but it was a long time ago, and what difference does it make?

Slavery was a longer time ago. Let’s end affirmative action.

It’s hard to “like” this.  Kerry is a public embarrassment.  He’s the perfect stooge for that gig, he can be counted on to only say the wrong things that won’t hurt Barry.  The rest is just him taking up space.

Obama is so cynical to ladle these idiots onto the American people. The arrogance and hate are so obvious.

But then I wonder who is left in the Democrat party with any credibility, intelligence , or character .

Can anyone here think of anyone they respect on that side ?

Only criminal prosecutions will make a difference.  Get people to squeal about who ordered the cover up.   Of course the GOP won’t go for the jugular, you need some heuvos for that move.

The irony is that this comment simply must come back to haunt the BHO administration; it is truly a disgrace. It is my most sincere wish that the Stevens family will refuse to allow this issue to rest.

I don’t have any strong faith that anything will, but I am hopeful.

There is a public that is not indifferent.   The folk who are Fox News regular watchers are pretty well interested.   Kudos to Fox News.

Will this deal the death blow to the Obama Administration? No.

But, quite frankly, this may be the death blow to the Hillary 2016 campaign.

    Bank those video clips, fellas.

I predict the mainstream press is going to get behind this story any minute now.  These things take awhile to develop.  There is no bias, except their bias for a good story, right?  Any time now you are going to start hearing reporters mentioning a “cancer on the presidency” and “what did the President know, and when did he know it?”.

You don’t think they’re setting up Hillary to take a fall, do you?

What the heck is Benghazi? Is it that new shawarma/habachi fusion joint on the eastside?

Libya. That is where this took place.

Libya. Which happens to be a country with which many Americans have a vague negative association.

Please, for the love of all that is decent, can we try (just try!) talking to the American public using meaningful terms?

I swear, if Obama invaded Iran and it went sour in the west, we’d start yammering about the scandal at Ecbatana.

KC, it’s possible they will throw Hill dog under the bus. She is likely our next president but cannot make Obama look bad. He will not stand for that. Pardon the analogy to Hilary, but I could see this going either way.

I’ve never been a political activist of any kind but I am a Navy vet from long time ago.  The whole Benghazi fiasco causes my blood to boil.  I haven’t written or posted on it because whether here or on American Thinker, I figured I would just be “preaching to the choir”. That was probably faulty thinking on my part.I did join a group on Twitter and we meet every night, 7 days a week and post twitter comments to our Senators and Representatives and various media personalities. We use a special technique of replying to one of their tweets as a reply. That way it sticks to their timeline & others can see it. Is this making a difference? We think so. We have taken Fox to task for their left leaning tendencies. We are constantly on Speaker Boehner to quit blocking H. Res. 36 for a Select Committee to investigate.  We have garnered media attention (Tea Party Fire Ants).  We have been at this 8 months now and are not going to let this die. Anyone interested in finding out more see http://benghazi-truth.blogspot.com.
