Protestors Block SF Pride Parade
When I saw the headline I did a double-take. Who, in San Francisco of all cities, could possibly object to the annual “Pride” Parade? Had the Westboro Baptists come to town? Was some alt-right hate group trying to make a name for itself? Perhaps an offshoot of Super Happy Fun America had taken to the streets to demand a West Coast Straight Pride Parade?
But no, it was leftists. It’s always leftists.
They chanted “Stonewall was a riot” and held up a banner reading “Queer and Trans against Kops and Korps.” Apparently they are “demanding that there be no police or corporations present at the parade.”
How stupid are these people? Do they not recognize their own power; that the police and the corporations are now on their side? The police are not there to intimidate or shut down the parade, they are there to escort and protect it, and to prevent it from being shut down by idiot protestors like them.
As for the corporations, they not only provide the sponsorship funding that pays for the annual parade, they are also busy sponsoring “Pride Month” events in the workplace and indoctrinating their own employees in LGBTQIA+ ideology via HR training. These are the same giant corporations engaged in censoring and deplatforming anyone the leftists label “homophobic.”
Talk about ingratitude.

I figured out a while ago that the Left doesn’t care about making sense. They prefer just making havoc . . .
Hard leftists, I think, just cannot accept that they are the establishment even where they’re culturally ascendant. Some desperately need to be the noble underdog rebel fighting oppression, and they’ll act out that narrative regardless of whether or not they’re making a lick of sense.
I have a long essay explaining all of this later. But basically, leftist gays can’t stand that they aren’t victims anymore. Homosexuals are now accepted as equal citizens of America by polite society and being mean to gays is social poison. There is something corrupt in the victimhood mentality that wants to forever stay a victim.
Furthermore, gays will probably become more patriotic now that they are accepted and even the Republican President wants to protect gays overseas. Anti-American leftists who happen to be gay can’t stand that. Much like Black Marxists before them, they will try to confuse Marxism with Civil Rights. The lyrics may have changed but it’s still the same song.
Now if only we could convince some of them that today the noble underdog rebels are libertarians fighting for free speech against the oppressive political-correctness establishment.
One thing we conservatives have going for us – and it’s a big one – is the left is now essentially one big, irrational Jacobin mob. And the thing about mobs is that they always need a target, they are fickle, and you can’t predict where they will turn. One day you are leading the mob and the next day it is leading you to the guillotine.
We are seeing that in the Democrat debates, where people like Joe Biden, so used to playing Madame Lafarge denouncing Republicans, now find themselves denounced by Kamala Harris, and are surprised and perplexed. The big Democrat mob is fracturing into ever more numerous mini-mobs denouncing each other. Couldn’t happen to nicer people.

Nothing takes the energy out of a movement, like corporatizing it. Virtual signaling corporations have done for “pride” month, what they did to presidents’ day–just another excuse for a mattress sale.
And now that gay folks have won their struggle, their single-issue coalition will fall apart. That is a good thing to me, since that string of letters was getting farcical. Is “log cabin” Republican still a thing anymore?

Many journalists at a recent game convention giddily inquired about anti-corporate themes in story settings revealed there. It didn’t seem to occur to any of them that they worked as journalists for news corporations.
Whatever it is, it’s only wrong when other people do it.

The root of leftism is a refusal to affirm life, creation, personhood and each other. The sin in the Garden of Eden was to look past the sheer wonder of the gift of life and all of creation and dispense with gratitude in favor of an imaginary bigger, better deal with super powers.
That mindset is why no matter what is done, changed or achieved the status quo is always bad just for the sin of coming into being without being ideal and those in charge of that new order are instantly enemies of the necessary next revolution.
The old left in America began with an affirmation of family and community, the protection and well-being of the good. The modern left is all about accusation. Those possessed of the (fake) ideal state of affairs (no matter how blatantly stupid, infeasible, self-contradictory or expressly evil its definition) have instant moral standing to condemn that which does not measure up (i.e., the rest of humanity and its entire history).
The narcissistic buzz from that mode of thought is addictive and leaves its host irrational, unhappy and with an insatiable appetite for “change”.
Communist revolutionaries are most extreme when poor people start making more money and begin to like capitalism. When that happens, they double down on Communist rhetoric and attack capitalism with renewed anger. In a similar fashion, race hucksters doubled-down on accusing America of being racist when Barack Obama became President. Now cops are asked to hang out in gay bars to break up fights and make sure the drug dealers stay away and corporations go out of their way to be gay-friendly. So the leftist have to make ever more strident claims that capitalism and the U.S. are anti-gay.
These people aren’t pro-gay, they are anti-Christian and anti-capitalist.
I suppose if one is perpetually dissatisfied, then they would be inclined to justify it. Nobody thinks they are miserable for no reason.
But its interesting that this likely pushes corporations to work harder at gaining inroads to theses “new” markets. The Right is probably going to have to pull out in order to see any change. I mean, shouldn’t they pay for selling out the people who have defended their existence. The Republican Party is already considered the party of big business; why should it be the party of bad business?
