If we substituted Democrat presidential candidate for intelligentsia we would have a perfect one-sentence encapsulation of both sets of Presidential debates last week. Yet Sowell anticipated their positions by at least 20 and possibly 30 years with this statement.

Sowell’s clarity of thought is a beacon for us all. If only he was required reading for our Congress.
In 2016 I thought Bernie Sanders the greediest man in American history. He wanted trillions of dollars earned by others to be given to him so he could buy votes that would give him power. In 2020 most of the Democratic candidates seem to be vying to take Bernie’s title away.
I have stated before that I disagreed with only one column of Dr. Sowell’s vast output, because I had special knowledge of the subject.
