David Hogg – Goodfella

David Hogg is on his way to Harvard. Little did I know there was a Robert De Niro Elocution Scholarship, as well as grants from the Jussie Smollett Hate Crime Hoax Foundation.

Some quotes from the WaPo Lifestyle Magazine interview:

You and other Parkland students played a major role in changing the conversation around gun violence in this country. So many people have been trying to do that for years — why do you think that you all have been effective?

Because we’re not vulnerable. Like, f—, we’re kids. [Laughs.] What are you going to come after? We lost our friends in school that day. We lost our teachers in school that day . We don’t have jobs. You can’t come after our jobs that don’t exist. And we aren’t afraid to call out the bulls— and the real thing that’s causing this. It’s the fact that we live in a country that is told, again and again, and to a large part believes, that dead children are the cost of our Second Amendment. It’s not.

You’ve been the lightning rod of the group — and have gotten a lot of hate, and death threats.

In the past year, there have been seven assassination attempts.

Oh, God. So how do you process something like that? And how do you see other people as a result?

Well, I see people as misguided and misinformed of what we’re actually here to talk about. But I also realize, if they kill me, that’s probably the stupidest thing they could do to try to end the movement. Because that would make it even more successful in the end. Because it would invigorate us and create f—ing change.

The WaPo interviewer didn’t ask for specific facts on the seven assassination attempts. No surprise there; probably went to school with Stephen Colbert.

Sounds like he has the perfect vocabulary to not just attend, but run Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.

Doug Watt: The WaPo interviewer didn’t ask for specific facts on the seven assassination attempts.

That’s kind of significant. Anyone idiot can make idle death threats online, but actual attempts, that’s newsworthy.

That caught my attention. One attempt would be enough to produce headlines, seven would be enough to send tingles up Chris Matthew’s leg, or both of them.

Yeah, he’s a good fellow in training, a “made boy.” I’m amused they’re running him thru their highest-quality pipeline – that means they’re going to be stuck with him for a long time.

Think he’ll fade like that halfwit Code Pink toy? In and out of the public eye like the opportunistic liar Christine Ballsey Ford? I bet not. I think we’ll have years of poking fun at little Mr. Hogg. This skinny weakling made his brand by filling his foul mouth with whatever vitriol his handlers write for him. They’ll do all they can to smooth the road, but people are who they are. Let’s see if Good Fellow Hogg even graduates.

Oh yes. He was nowhere near the shooting.  Always the safest. Another “Pajama boy.” The kid who was there  got black listed because he said guns were not the cause.   He had a higher GPA and SAT but who cares about that stuff ?  The Meritocracy left years ago.

Hmm.  Pencil-necked kid steps over the bodies of his fallen classmates to get to the microphones and in front of the cameras.  Then on those microphones and cameras he becomes a rabid anti-gun activist.  Then he’s slotted for assassination by the rabid, pro-2A right.  Seven times.  And he’s still walking around breathing?

Obviously, methinks the lady doth protest too much.

I read somewhere that the US is the only country on Earth where “public speaking” is considered an academic discipline in and of itself.  It’s reportedly the only academic area where US high school students outperform every other country.

Who needs to actually know things when you can just convince people that you know things?

Ahw, everyone’s  just mad that their favorite school shooting propchild turnedout to be a racist and can’t go to a school everyone here already hated. But your least favorite propchild does…so so unfair. Get over it.

The lives of these children and their fabricated problems are boring and irrelevant.

    Or down his own.

He must have some obscure methodology of accounting an attempt, like some joker made a threat and was only 5 miles away from me … totally had the opportunity to carry it out…

I would like to see some documentation on these attempts, like arrest records – or death certificates.

Wildly missing the point, but we’ve (well, I’ve; can’t speak for everybody) come to expect that from you, brother @valiuth.

But the way these children are treated is incredibly relevant.  Too, these kids are trying to get over a pretty frikkin’ traumatic event.  Is the way society and our elites deal with these children, and exploits them for one political narrative or the other boring and irrelevant?  Really?

    I must noncuncur, sir.

One would think.  But I don’t see any reports, just pages and pages that he’s claimed seven assassination attempts.  I think Glenn Beck had the best remark, “Maybe he needs armed security.”

I would not be surprised if the young man, whose language seems rather imprecise and whose vocabulary is quite limited, is conflating “death threats” with assassination attempts.  He may not even know the difference.

Of course, one should be circumspect about lunatics, and occasionally criminal lunatics, making death threats online, but I try to remember that we live in a world where a meteorologist lady down South somewhere recently got death threats for reporting the weather.

There was some major golf tournament going on, and also a tornado warning, and the network put her either on a split screen, or picture-in-picture, so she could give critical weather updates.  No golf, as I recall, was missed, and the network did not cut away from the golf tournament.

But she got online death threats from [expletives] who resented her presence on their golf show.  I suppose, if they hadn’t put the weather on, and there’d been a weather disaster, she’d have got death threats for not doing her job.

Anyone remember Heidi Bowl?  Good thing that was before the Age of Twitter.

    Guys,

This is one slimy little creep. I remember him being interviewed when it happened. He said something to the effect that “everybody knew beforehand about the shooter”. When Hogg found out it was happening he wasn’t at school but he rushed there on his bicycle!

They had this political nonsense organized before it happened. That’s how they got Tapper & CNN to pull that ridiculous Town Hall thing where they ambushed Dana Loesch & Senator Rubio. A few days later as more facts came out even Tapper had to walk back the idiot Sheriff Israel.

This is a very sick creep.

    Regards,

    Jim
