“For Your Own Good”

Forced abortion in England.

The beloved NHS strikes again. I wonder what the Brits will make of this. A disabled mother. A baby on the way. A competent caregiver (grandma) ready to help care for it. A case worker who sides with the mother. A judge with a different world view. A “medical” system that knows better than the patient.

As Ronald Reagan said, “The most chilling words in the English language are, ‘We’re from the government and we’re here to help.'”

Welcome to the therapeutic state.

“I am acutely conscious of the fact that for the State to order a woman to have a termination where it appears that she doesn’t want it is an immense intrusion,” said Justice Nathalie Lieven in her ruling in the Court of Protection, June 21.

“I have to operate in [her] best interests, not on society’s views of termination,” Lieven explained, arguing that her decision is in the best interest of the woman.

The judge said she did not believe the woman understood what it meant to have a baby.

“I think she would like to have a baby in the same way she would like to have a nice doll,” Lieven said.

    Amazing.

Who better to determine the woman’s best interest than an agent of the All Knowing State?

Given that the grandmother is a Catholic Nigerian, I have to wonder if there is not more than a little cultural snobbery (bigotry) underlying the judge’s opinion.

Oh Eb! How could you even think that the dear all knowing all compassionate DHS would even think of racial profiling and engaging in modern day Eugenics. ? Good thing you don’t live in the UK or the Police might be knocking on your door for such a politically incorrect but possibly true thought.

Yep,  the prochoice case couldn’t be made better than the details in this case.

I notice that pro-choice people are never interested in people having choices about healthcare outside of abortion. Maybe they aren’t even pro-choice.

She needs to raise that point loudly, and a Nigerian bishop needs to fly in to lead protests outside the white woman’s courtroom. The secular supremacist left is on offense in Africa, time for a real counteroffensive. Demand the white woman be removed from the bench and reeducated.

    Great idea Clifford!

It just so happens that my parish gets a visit now and then from the Archbishop of Lagos,  Nigeria- vacationing and also hitting up the local Hollywood celebrities for donations –  Bob Hope’s wife Dolores gave millions while she was alive. He seemed like a conservative guy, and had many a story of how the Muslims were ravaging his desperately poor city.   I don’t see why he couldn’t take up this issue.

And  one of the best-know priests in Texas for years was Father Justin Udomah, born in Nigeria. and currently Director of the Catholic Media Centre in Uyo.  Contact him, too. He’s easy to find on FB.

GFHandle: Welcome to the therapeutic state.

We have been warning of the impending result of Statism for a very long time. We are now fast approaching the beginning of the massive abuse thereof. Openly expressed and legally sealed in cement.

Big Sister knows best. Your rights mean nothing. Welcome to the therapeutic state, exactly.
