Flashback: Media ❤ Avenatti
Today, the news broke that Michael Avenatti — paragon of decency, justice, and personal probity — has been indicted for ripping off a porn star. Federal prosecutors in New York charged the bald barrister with defrauding Stormy Daniels via wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.
Although Avenatti is on the outs now, some of us remember him as the darling of CNN and MSNBC’s green rooms. He was lauded as a potential presidential candidate and the man most likely to take down Donald Trump. To ensure all that adulation didn’t disappear down the memory hole, our friends at the Free Beacon created the video montage below:

When you speak truth to power, the Trump Justice Department will retaliate.
A lying creep taken seriously by cable news as the savior? Give me a break. We all knew he was a conman the minute he walked in front of the first microphone.
LoL Great.
Imagine my surprise.
Such a shame about the prison thing. He would have made a fine wingman for Al Gore or John Edwards.
The #Bastabilities are endless.
Some tongue baths do not wash off.
Speaking of washing, I felt like I needed a good lieder hosen down after watching about 30 seconds of that video. Gah. All of that is garbage, mostly, but some of the clips were from news shows. They were fawning on him.
We should all take some time, ourselves, and contemplate our selves, and our place in the universe, one that allows a Joy Behar to be something other than a rodeo clown rotting slowly in a forgotten race barrel, discarded by the side of a dwindling river in Nowhere, USA.
Turns out Stormy Daniels was the classy one in that pair. Maybe she should run for president.
Can you give an example?
He was certainly qualified for a seat in the House, over qualified as a Chicago alderman. If you believe that you are committing three felonies a day Avenatti has proved that you are an under achiever. Get off the couch and get busy.
The political persecution of Michael isn’t example enough?
Oooh-kay. If you believe that no one is gonna convince you otherwise.
Irony is difficult.
