Wouldn’t it have been more effective to create them earlier, when, Obamacare wasn’t already the LAW OF THE LAND?

Cute – but horse, barn door.

It didn’t go far enough. Uncle Sam should have had a clipboard and started asking all the personal questions that they will be seeking. I’d play up more of the “why do you need to know that info to treat me?” angle.

What is funny is how much conversation the ad has provoked. I have lefty acquaintances that are besides themselves with outrage and horror. I know folks on the right who are equally outraged and horrified. How they express themselves is nearly identical—even the vocabulary is the same. The only difference is that one side is against the ad, the other opposes Obamacare.

Well, if the reactions noted by AUMom and Israel are any indication, this ad did not have the effect its creators were hoping for.

    Fail!

Here’s the “male patient” companion video, by the way:

God I love it but how creepy!  Rand Paul needs to hire whoever made it to do his 2016 ads.

Creepily poignant. I agree with Cato. Rand Paul needs to do this kind of stuff for his campaign. And not to be mean, but after watching Ted Cruz’s stiff ads about defunding Obamacare, we need something edgy. I don’t mean to be shallow, but this is the way of things in our culture today.

I’ll share this video on Facebook . We’ll see how my brainwashed lefty friends respond. I just don’t think they’ll see the bureaucratic intrusion into their lives as a personal invasion, as long as Obama’s in charge anyway.

But imagine the outrage if it were Bush, or Cheney, or Palin, or Paul.

Wow, that’s one way to illustrate government overreach into our healthcare system. I love it

Sure, these ads appeal to those opposed to Obamacare, but they won’t change any minds. The other guys like big government, remember? The symbolism isn’t specific enough.

How about pointing out and dramatizing the fact that under Obamacare doctors wil be coerced into routinely collecting personal information about sex partners & drug use as part of the federal government’s electronic-health-records requirements.

The ad wasn’t directed to idealogues who already know what they think about Obamacare.  I suspect its audience was the relatively uninformed who’s views on a political issue are more emotional reactions than studied or analyzed views.

I thought it would end with her pulling back the wall so dozens of grey bureaucrats could watch the exam from their desks while typing all the information they get into computers.

Well, now I’ve seen it myself. The enemy message board I frequent is all about how the scary Koch Brothers have created this creepy video, and aren’t the Koch Brothers evil?

A professional colleague posted this on Facebook with this comment:

More than creepy! Disgusting. Bears repeating that no one should buy products made by any of the Koch-owned companies. Why support this trash!

    Another responded with:

Download the Buycott app and find out if the products you buy are from a Koch company. For example, Northern TP… As soon as I saw that I switched brands. Please go out of your way to NOT support these evil people.

It’s a funny ad, but it will convince no one.

This. There are a lot of questions that will go unanswered when this thing kicks in.
