Getting Nude to Protest What?!

Beautiful model Emily Ratajkowski posted a nude photo of herself to social media on Thursday to protest the Alabama Human Life Protection Act, the strictest abortion law in the nation.

Photo at the linked article.

This one is a head scratcher to me. You post a photo of yourself naked (with critical points of coverage) revealing your G-d given talents to show those “25 old white men” exactly what? Your body?

She doesn’t like the law, so she posts a sexy image. If you’re are a male heterosexual lawmaker, aren’t you going to try and figure out what other laws you can pass that will induce more attractive women to disrobe in front of a camera?

Let’s pass a law that all women must be covered. Then the protests will be amazing.

I don’t get it. Maybe I need more punishment.

Now, if she can get the ladies from The View to join in . . . that might scare us evil men.

Maybe we could pass a law that women are not allowed to clean the apartments and houses of single men. They’ll show us!

You silly guy! Are you trying to make sense of this act? Since when does anyone on the Left need to make sense! It’s the intention that matters–whatever the heck that is . . .

Oh, but we don’t intend for them to do it, just to protest by doing the opposite.

To be fair, I assume she was smart enough to know that she would be ignored without a publicity stunt. As a model, stripping is good for her career. The publicity might even gain her meetings with other celebrities.

Plus, more guys want to sleep with her now, so she can take pride in killing more kids herself.

Based on her nonsensical comments (in the linked article), her body appears to be the only asset that she could use to attract attention.

The arguments for abortion are weak, in my estimation, even when made cogently and intelligently.  She repeats the typical trope that it is about “our bodies” — well, no, it’s about the baby’s body that you want to have destroyed, typically by dismembering it with forceps (without anesthetics).

But she also claims that the laws are racist, because they are passed by “old white men” and the states involved have the highest proportion of blacks.  Apparently it does not occur to her that the supposedly racist old white men want to prevent black babies from being killed.

I think to protest the consequences of wanting to have unprotected sex without consequences, when as a female, you are still young enough and fertile enough to conceive and be able to give birth as nature allows. I suppose this applies to married couples too for whom unplanned pregnancy is an inconvenience. So protest against G-d, nature and maybe monogamy. Women are only fertile for a portion of their life so this obviously doesn’t affect everybody. Since the law holds natural fathers accountable, this can affect a larger share of men than women in the population, excepting that women encounter more of the immediate pain of carrying a child to term and the burden of raising a child. This might force more women as well as men to take the consequences of nature more seriously and either plan better for pregnancy or get married sooner. It might also encourage men to take their work more seriously to plan for raising a family some day.

The only reason this humble geezer commenter has ever heard of this woman have been her repeated stunts, most all of which have involved her displaying her anatomy to a greater or lesser extent, and brought to one’s attention in so-called “news” on the internet.

She seems to have a difficult time staying clothed. While she’s not hard on the eyes, I seem  not to able to listen to her “argument” while looking at a mostly nude young woman. Sorry not sorry.

What are you gay? If we are going to have leftist protestors I say we need more naked model leftist protesters.

Incidentally there is now a spike in 8th grade boys opposing abortion, in the hope of drawing some more protesting models.

I got nothing against naked.  I strongly support it.  I just don’t think this particular model is all that attractive.

Now, Paulina Porizkova in her prime…

Personally, I think this is just one more reason to break up the social media companies. They keep saying things like “Nude photo of Emily Ratajkowski” but then she’s actually covered! If you’re wearing a leaf and covering the interesting bits then that’s not actually nude. Fake news!

I was just about to say, at least in the pictures I’ve seen there’s no actual nudity.  PG-13 at best.

I don’t like her belly button.  It’s neither an innie nor an outie.  I don’t like belly buttons that sit on the fence, not really knowing what they are.  Squishes is what they are.

As you know, that law exists in some places … without a protest in sight.

I suppose the mindset here is “Horny men will somehow think a woman with this body must know what she’s talking about on abortion“, or Emily may think she can turn those men pro-choice just by their thinking about sleeping with her. Either way, it’s not a big step for those pouty eyes in that photo to turn into crazy eyes, and then no amount of fabulous body can make up for the baggage that comes with it.
