This Should Be Elizabeth Warren’s Last Stand

I was talking to a friend on the left who said he wasn’t concerned with Elizabeth Warren’s Texas application to join the Bar coming back to haunt her because “the Native America thing was priced in.” Then he added, “like you and Donald Trump and the Access Hollywood tape.” I immediately shot down the attempt at whataboutism by asking what policy issues the Trump tape effected.

Elizabeth Warren took a job from a minority candidate, made lots of money based on the increased reverence of said position, then parlayed that into a position of power and prominence to the point she could run for President.

The more “transactional” part of me thinks every right-wing TV, radio, and print pundit should be calling Elizabeth Warren a racist to the highest of heavens. It may coarsen the dialogue, but it’s not like we’re dealing with a news cycle that will grant us clemency for playing nice.

I tend to think Warren, who enjoys screaming “racism” at Republicans, should have to live by the same rules.  She is a white woman who purposefully plotted to take a job from a minority knowing she did not meet the qualifications. She has since rolled out a video that because she had no proof of her claims, had not registered as a member of a tribe, and went to “science” which couldn’t have proved it (no blood in the database). Had the simple math not been pointed out, much like anyone with the faintest of curiosity of Obama’s birth certificate, you too would be a racist birther regarding Warren.

Each of these calculations was done knowing she had perpetrated said fraud, but her message was: “It’s a rigged system.”

Where else but America can this kind of opportunity arise? I feel the same about David Hogg, who didn’t have the academic record to get into UC-Santa Barbara but dropped out of high school classes to call NRA members murderers; all of a sudden he’s Harvard material. Hogg will be out on the 2020 campaign trail trying to be a kingmaker, probably thinking he is far more important and intelligent than us rubes, rather than being grateful for his celebrity privilege that came at the expense of happening to be in the vicinity of a tragedy. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez went from bartender to thought leader, but we’re a racist country that denies opportunity. It boggles the mind.

But Warren is a particularly arrogant kind of self-serving hypocrite. Hogg and Ocasio-Cortez are too dumb to know what they don’t know, and achieved a certain intelligentsia positioning that went beyond their grasp and now embrace it as being earned and their own opinion as irrefutable fact. Warren, on the other hand, planned for all of this and I doubt that she would be forgiving if any of us took a job from a minority, no matter if we were ignorant of our genetic histories or if we knowingly used family folklore in a cynical attempt at self-promotion.

A rigged system allowed a woman with not extraordinary educational achievements to become one of the most powerful women in academia and then use that to become one of the most powerful people in politics. I’m not sure a Kennedy could have planned it better.

Here’s my question for Elizabeth Warren: if a rigged system allowed you to succeed, what did it do to the minority candidate who didn’t get the job you took from him/her because you also rigged it? Why shouldn’t she be labeled a racist after all of this?

    Jeff Hawkins:

Why shouldn’t she be labeled a racist after all of this?

Because you are centered on things of the world, objective things, and Warren and the left value things of the mind, subjective things. Warren’s “heart was pure” and all she did was to take a real job from a real person. She only jumped in line and got an unfair advantage in real life. If she had done something that made another feel bad, something purely subjective like Ralph Northam, then she’d be on the chopping block too.

It sounds trivial, the way I put it, but that really is the reason. People of the right and left have fundamentally different paradigms, to the degree they can’t hear each other talk. Accept that they value things of the mind over things of the world as a near-fundamental premise and Warren’s situation (and a lot of leftist insanity) becomes clear.

I’m not sure Elizabeth Warren didn’t believe she wasn’t part Native-American.  She may have thought so, but she may never have looked into it until recently to see the DNA level was a non-starter – she is strange – and doesn’t have anything really going for her that makes her a star candidate for President.  My buddy in Ma thinks she walks on water, and as you can imagine, we differ in views…

Jeff Hawkins: the Access Hollywood tape

On that tape, Trump uses hyperbole to skewer the rapey Hollywood culture.  He is arguably the originator of the #metoo movement.  He is a hero.  I don’t know what that has to do with Warren’s document fraud, which she should be disbarred for.

I suppose Liz could resign herself to just being a future spokesperson for Michelob Ultra on streaming video ads. Though I don’t know if she would come across as realistic a product supporters as those robots in the Michelob Super Bowl ad.

There is a good chance Elizabeth Warren will be the next President of the United States.  The thought that this little hiccup is going to stop her is laughable.  All that is happening is the maneuvering to put this in the past so in a year or so when this is brought up it can easily be dismissed as part of the ancient past.

It (#metoo) did seem to surface when Trump’s mojo was on the rise—was it an attempt to take him down ? Now, how many of their own have gone under ? Not tired of winning.

Everything you need to know about Elizabeth Warren has been compiled by Cornell Law Professor William Jacobson of Legal Insurrection in the Elizabeth Warren Wiki.  Nothing about her is honest. Nothing.

Even if she was half Indian, or hell, full-blooded Indian, she would have still been cynical to use the race (?) card to help her career.

I am totally against affirmative action and quotas, considering them racist and encouraging racism. But at least their ostensible purpose is to help disadvantaged groups, or possibly force-create a more “diverse” campus population.

Whether or not these things work, or in the end have any value, Elizabeth Warren certainly believes they do, and supports them all for these reasons.

How would she be contributing to these ends?  How much diversity would she bring to a campus? She isn’t from the Rez, she doesn’t have a minute of cultural Indian experience in her upbringing. Even if she were genetically full-blooded Cherokee, she was born and raised among the ordinary population, and all of her cultural experience is the same as the ordinary population.  If asked by another student looking to broaden their horizons, what life is like for a Native American in this country, she would have nothing to offer except a recipe from tomahawk cookies or whatever it was.  How is this helping further the aims of the affirmative action she so strongly supports?

I wonder if she also drops in on soup kitchens every Wednesday, because hey, free meal!

    More from Prof. Jacobson:

But will Democrats nominate someone as to whom there are more documents to drop on the most damaging aspect of the candidacy?

What might drop? How about Warren’s Harvard Law School hiring file, which never has been released. That file could somehow leak, or there might be a clamoring for Warren to authorize its release. If it turns out, despite all the campaign and sympathetic media claims to the contrary, that someone in the hiring process HLS knew about her Native American status prior to granting her tenure, Warren’s campaign would collapse in a heartbeat.

I suppose there are benefits to being as naive  young as AOC.

Only if Zero is a “good chance”.

The hostile questioning she received the other night from main stream reporters tells us that she is the next sacrificial victim of the left.  Her campaign has not been aborted, it’s taken the morning after pill.

Which is a shame, because Trump v. Warren would be a real hoot.

We shall see.  To me it looks like she is just doing a repositioning to get this issue out in the open and in the past.  Maybe if she was not a sitting senator she would be gone.  But as long as she is a senator she is in play.

No way this woman gets to be President.

The American Indian stuff is a symptom of liberal arrogance and entitlement that this woman exudes from her pores. She needs all the affirmative action help she can get because she has no ability on her own, and apparently she knows it.

The Democrat nominated will have to get votes from black men (and women) and they will never accept someone like her as their champion. Black men stayed home ( or voted Trump) in large numbers because of Hillary. Why? Well, they are sexist – or maybe they just are tired of white women pretending they are so oppressed.

No, they should call her what she is, Transracial.

They should say, whenever her name is mentioned, that Elizabeth Warren identifies as Indian (feather, not dot) and that her preferred pronouns are “how”, “bou” and “dat”.

Look what it did for Rachel Dolezal, um excuse me, Nkechi Amare Diallo.
