In the wake of the ghoulish New York abortion law, there’s fresh horrors out of Virginia in the last twenty-four hours. The first, an actual bill:

What is more ghoulish than this, a baby killed just before it enters the world via birth canal? Virginia Governor Ralph Northam somehow manages to pull off an even more disturbing statement:

At least they’re no longer pretending this is about women’s health anymore. This is a culture of death. Notice how many in the mainstream take note that a Governor of a major state advocating for legalized infanticide.

    What’s important to note is that the VA governor cites cases of extreme fetal deformity when the actual bill in question allows for abortion up to and apparently after birth if the mother claims that her life as a mother could be emotionally stressful. Deformities aren’t the issue. It’s more deception and lies from the Democrat advocates for this horrific bill. Also note, the governor’s statement, that the mother and the physicians would keep the newborn comfortable while they decided whether they wanted to kill it. This is how Democrat empathy works.

    I first learned about the on the Ben Shapiro Podcast. The barbarism. here is unbelievable. I hope people will wise up and defeat, at the polls, the people who are behind this sort of thing Words truly fail me, as I contemplate what we have come to, as a culture. It is indeed A Culture of Death, and it has to stop!

    I can remember when a comedian once described someone as so liberal that they supported abortion up to one year after delivery. That has moved from dark comedy to mainstream leftist thought. Makes sense given the justification logic.

    The New York law has made it safe for the Pro-Aborts to show their intentions. I hate to say this, but I expect more will be following. They are a little nervous about the details just now as Representative Tran exhibited some hesitancy to give a straight answer. In following days they will be more bold and careless.

    So when my son was born and had trouble breathing we could have just flippantly said, “nah spending a few months commuting to the hospital and taking time off of work, just seems like to much hassle so lets just kill him?”

    Yes, the Dems are becoming as radical as is possible regarding abortion. In addition to New York & Virginia, the state of Vermont is poised to enshrine the right to abort a baby up to the moment of birth into their constitution. Since the bill has 91 co-sponsors out of a 150-person legislature and a pro-abortion governor, odds are this monstrosity will come to pass.

    I’m a 10-year Virginian who moved here because I thought Maryland was getting too crazy. Obviously, I didn’t have to wait long for it to infect Virginia.

    I’ve never been a protesting type, but if this bill gets anywhere near to a vote, I’m going to be willing to participate in a march on Richmond.

    This is where we go beyond the slippery slope and fall off the cliff into total moral free fall. That Peter Singer idiot at Princeton has justified murdering a child up to two years old because “they lack all self-awareness until two”. Soulless stupidity from a man with a resume a mile long.

    The reality is that inducing labor is far safer for the woman in the 3rd trimester than abortion. The child has almost the same chance to be completely healthy as the full term child. From the third trimester on a viable human life is in existence and the only reason for the abortion is never having to acknowledge your parental connection at all much less raise the child.

    The answer should be, No, NO, NO!

    This so obviously is about infanticide. Jennifer Morbelli died having an abortion at 33 weeks. At 33 weeks a live birth ends the pregnancy and a signature on adoption papers ends the emotional toll. And there are plenty of people who will adopt an ill, special needs or severely disabled child, if indeed the baby presents that way after birth.

    As Bob Grant used to say, “It’s sick out there and getting sicker.”

During questions with a subcommittee member, when asked if the bill would allow abortions ‘to the end of the third trimester,’ Tran replied, ‘Yes. I don’t think we have a limit in the bill.’ When asked if abortions would be allowed ‘where it’s obvious that a woman is about to give birth…[when] she’s dilating?’, Tran said, ‘My bill would allow that, yes.’ After video of Tran’s testimony circulated on social media, her Twitter account was deleted.”

    Now that Roe is being threatened (possibly) the mask is off. I really hope if there is a case where Roe could be repealed the squishy RINOS in the Court don’t punt. The mask if off and they want to kill babies. Pro choice people now have to make a decision. Is this what you are for? Being able to kill a baby while the mother is in labor?I am sickened by this, I need to beef up my Pro-life ministry work, these babies need as much help as they can get. If you know of crisis pregnancy center, a sidewalk counseling group, Birthright, the Sisters of Life, or other Pro-life groups please contribute to them or volunteer. All hands on deck because the Democrats mean business.

    When Democrats try to stand on some kind of moral high ground when some sob story about one of their pet agendas fits the narrative to pull at the nations heart strings, and they stand up and say “This isn’t who we are”. Yea I guess baby killing is who we are, because they have no problem with it.

    Every single Republican should use these bills to show how radical the Democrats are. Republicans can’t shy away from the “social issues” anymore. We have a democrat politician admitting, on video, to infanticide and probably have a good amount of Democrats in the legislature who will vote for it. It’s not something we can sweep under the rug anymore.

    @bethanymandel, this is the way Nations start the process of withering, decaying, rotting and declining into death. I cannot for the life of me understand how people with a scintilla of decency and the slightest degree of morality can countenance such despicable behavior as these legislatures are engaging in. I think Jim described it perfectly in #13 as “total moral free fall” and once any object, or Nation, is in free fall, by definition there is no control left and it spins or falls to its death.

    It is, in the true sense of the word, breathtaking that the Governor of a major state, or any state, or for that matter, any citizen of the United States of America would make a statement which calmly discusses committing an act which is in every sense of the word murder; I cannot even think rationally about what this means our country has come to; as hard as try to be optimistic about the US of A, I cannot see this as anything but the beginning of the end. I wish it were not so. 

    Pray for America and for all these precious babies who have been murdered and those many more who will be murdered after “they are made comfortable” while a discussion is held regarding whether it will live or die.

    I think its so sad that someone with the surname of Tran should be promoting this bill. You would think that the history of war and communism and death camps in Vietnam would make someone pro-life rather than pro-death. I’m sure at some point her family struggled to LIVE and be free. As with someone who went through the Holocaust – shouldn’t they be the most pro-life people? But no. There was a French feminist and politician (who died last year) who was lauded for having survived the Holocaust and for legalizing abortion in France. Anyone else feel that is a contradiction – or should be? Please pray for this nation.

    So I guess he loves children … under certain circumstances.

    This should come as no surprise after eight years of the abortion extremist 0bama administration. Barack 0bama even supported the protection of the killing of babies surviving an abortion. “As chairman of an Illinois state Senate committee, [he] voted down a bill to protect live-born survivors of abortion,” NRLC legislative director Douglas Johnson told LifeNews.com.  

    Johnson said Obama did so “even after the panel had amended the bill to contain verbatim language, copied from a federal bill passed by Congress without objection in 2002, explicitly foreclosing any impact on abortion.”

    “Obama’s legislative actions in 2003 — denying effective protection even to babies born alive during abortions — were contrary to the position taken on the same language by even the most liberal members of Congress,” Johnson continued.

    “The bill Obama killed was virtually identical to the federal bill that even NARAL ultimately did not oppose,” he concluded.

    Additionally, this has been the democrat position for a very long time. In 1999, during the debate of a partial birth abortion bill, Senator Rick Santorum, on the floor of the U.S. Senate, attempted to have Senator Barbara Boxer at least admit that once a baby was born, it had a right to life under the Constitution. Boxer couldn’t even acknowledge the truth of that fact and revealed the evil of the Left’s sacred devotion to completely unrestricted abortion.

    I agree George. FYI – Bill Kristol and his wife donated to Northam over Ed Gillespie because he was too ‘Trumpy’. So for all those babies on the Left’s chopping block, 2020 is their ‘Flight 93’ election. 

    Wondering if Mona Charen can tell us how Gov. Larry Hogan and the other N.E. GOP New Hopes feel about this. Anyone think defunding Planned Parenthood is worth “shutting down (15%)” of government? I do!

    Interesting there were no doctors at the hearing for a law that would significantly change how they can do their jobs. All too busy seeing patients? Golly Gee are they that dedicated to their profession or too embarrassed to attend this abortion of a hearing. The ladies presenting the bill didn’t even have the foresight to research the medical conditions they knew would probably be asked. Watching this I was both horrified and embarrassed for these bozos.
