A Message for Catholics in New York

A portal to Hell has opened in New York State. It was opened by elected members of the state legislature and by its governor, who was baptized in the Catholic faith and vowed at the sacrament of Confirmation to be a soldier of Christ. However, through his advocacy and promotion and the joy that he expressed when he signed the deceptively named Reproductive Health Act, Andrew Cuomo has switched allegiances and is now a soldier of Satan and his soul now is closer to eternal damnation and torment.

The name of this new satanic law is a lie and something we should expect from the Lord of Lies and those who have done his bidding. It does nothing to promote human reproduction but instead authorizes abortionists to inject fully-formed children in the womb with lethal poisons and to be brutally and horrifically killed up until the moment of live birth on the pretext that a mother’s ensuing life after the birth of her child might be stressful and emotionally challenging.

There are those non-believers, even regrettably some in positions of authority within the Catholic Church, who will scoff at the idea of Hell. Too many bishops and cardinals and many priests have avoided speaking about eternal damnation because they want the Church to be more inclusive and don’t want to frighten children. There are frauds and deceivers in the Vatican hierarchy who don’t even believe in Hell, reject the Apostles’ Creed, and some who may be following a different master. But as Saint Padre Pio replied when someone commented to him that modern people don’t believe in Hell, “They’ll believe in Hell when they get there.”

Some believers hold to the notion that Christ is more like Fred Rogers’s TV persona, “Mr. Rogers” or a huggable hippie from Marin County and attend Mass with the same carefree attitude of attending a backyard pool party. Of course, it’s difficult to reflect on the meaning of Christ’s life, his lessons, his warnings, his occasional anger, his passion, his time on Earth or his descent into Hell after his crucifixion when folksingers or Broadway musical aspirants bellow and screech into microphones on the altar.

Priests should not care if the thought of eternal damnation scares parishioners. Priests were ordained to bring people not only to the faith but to salvation to be judged and hopefully be received by Jesus Christ in Heaven. They were ordained to do everything they could to help people avoid eternal damnation. For over two thousand years, the apostles and the Church taught that if one dismisses the potential of eternal damnation and lives a life of sin and depravity then one is destined for Hell.

And what would Christ have said of a man, a baptized and confirmed Catholic, who through his advocacy and his office grants authority to those who would kill God’s children before they can take their first breath of air, before they can cry out and announce themselves to the world; a man who would happily deprive them of the opportunity to fulfill their lives, to love and be loved, to laugh, to experience not simply the joys of life but also the opportunity to face its suffering and challenges with courage and dignity? As I type these lines, my own autistic, speech- and mentally-challenged 26-year-old son is happily babbling and declaring something indecipherable. He had a good night’s sleep is rejoicing in life for this new day he has been given.

Andrew Cuomo, in his zeal and apparent enthusiasm to promote this heinous act for years and then sign it and celebrate its enactment by ordering the pink illumination of the spire on One World Trade Center and other landmarks is not merely ‘spiking the football’ but his celebration is tantamount to spitting in the faces of Our Lady and Jesus Christ.

If one believes what Christ taught, then for what he has done, Andrew Cuomo hasn’t simply risked going to Hell; Andrew Cuomo should go to Hell. His salvation may lie in working to overturn this evil law before he dies even as children become routinely murdered before having a chance for and their right to life. May God have mercy on Andrew Cuomo’s soul. May God have mercy on the souls of priests and bishops in New York too cowardly to say what I have just written. May God have mercy on all of our souls.

The governor of New York is your Achan. I’ll let you have a look at Joshua 7 to see what they did to him. I’m not advocating violence against a sitting Governor. But I am advocating separating him from the faith. He is steeped in sin.

I don’t recall where I first saw this: “A fetus was the first to leap with joy at the incarnation of Christ.”

Cuomo could have followed the example of Kim Reynolds in Iowa. If he was a good man he would have but he serves another.

How soon before post birth abortion? Maybe preschool or kindergarten should be the killing cutoff or at least before there is a need to pay for college for that inconvenient humanoid .

Under the heading of WWLD (What Would the Left Do), where are the calls for boycotts on tourism/travel in New York?

I’m glad your son is having a good day, Brian.

I have to say, I don’t understand the enthusiasm, the clapping, the pink buildings… what is it, exactly, that this bill makes so much better, for women, children, anyone, that celebration is called for?

    I don’t get it.

When they showed the vote on the news there was actually a standing ovation when the bill passed. Then look at the smiles as the governor signed it into law (I believe the older woman was the lawyer for Roe). This is pure joy for them. In the past some would talk about abortion as “a necessary evil” but these folks see it as something to be celebrated.

Normally, when I hear people refer to something as “satanic” I think they are engaging in hyperbole but in this case, is there a better way to describe it?

The celebrations as this legislation became law aren’t about logic, they are about attacking logic and logos which is an attack on God, Christ, nature and creation.

In her book This Common Secret, abortionist Dr. Susan Wicklund tells the story of performing an abortion at ten weeks gestation on a woman who was raped. When the abortion is complete, and the “products of conception” evaluated, it becomes clear that the gestational age doesn’t match up with the day of the rape. The fetus was two weeks older. The father must therefore have been the patient’s husband.

The doctor, the patient and the husband are all shocked, appalled, grief-stricken, remorseful…they weep together in the doctor’s office. The doctor receives the forgiveness of the couple whose child is dead with humility. We are, I suppose, meant to see this as a touchingly honest story. And yet…

What is the difference between the baby she thought she was aborting and the baby she actually aborted? Either would have looked like this: before.

And after like (GRAPHIC IMAGE ALERT) this:

One would be disposed of without concern or guilt. The other merits lamentation.

@brianwatt, I looked up the text of the RHA and it appears that in NY the murder of a pregnant woman and her fetus cannot now be charged as two homicides (even if the woman dearly wished to give birth). Am I reading this correctly?

It makes it so abortion is never illegal, even if the person choosing to abort the child is someone other than the mother. In one sense it is more intellectually honest, the baby is or is not a person regardless of whether the mother wants them. But how do you defend that as being pro-woman?

You are. It’s a dehumanization effort that Hitler would have applauded.

Most likely the statement you cite was made in reference to The Gospel According to St. Luke 1:39-45. Wherein Mary visits Elizabeth, her cousin who is also with child. Elizabeth says, in part, “For as soon as I heard the sound of your greeting, the child in my womb leaped for joy.”

And in all of this, adoption is never mentioned even as Catholic adoption services are closing down rather than follow the legal mandate to facilitate adoptions to homosexuals.

At what point do coincidences evidence conspiracies?

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wiles and wickedness of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, o Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the destruction of souls. Amen.

Andrew Cuomo is possessed by Satan. He has given his soul to the devil. My state is run by a man who is demonically possessed.

I tell my children, get out. Leave New York. Don’t make careers and lives here.

One might logically assume that despite the pope’s occasional remarks comparing abortion to an organized crime hit, he and Vatican operatives may be waiting for the Cuomo/expanded abortion act to blow over because the pontiff’s own record on abortion has been inconsistent particularly his praise for an abortionist and other abortion activists. As Lifesite News reported in October of last year:

Francis praised notorious Italian abortionist and leftist activist Emma Bonino in a February 2016 interview as one of Italy’s “forgotten greats,” doing so because of her work with refugees. Bonino is best known in Italy for practicing illegal abortion and promoting abortion. She was regarded for decades as its most prominent abortion supporter.

Between her abortion activism and being an abortionist herself, Bonino, also formerItalian Minister of Foreign Affairs, is directly or indirectly responsible for the deaths of roughly six million Italian babies from 1968 to today.

Bonino has also worked to liberalize Italian divorce laws, legalize recreational drugs, ban a national nuclear energy program, and has promoted nudism, same-sex “marriage,” transgenderism, the abolition of the armed forces, disbanding of NATO, the liberalization of porn laws, and mandatory sex education.

Francis also invited Bonino to the Vatican in 2015 and received her in a private audience in November 2016.

Last year, Francis also honored Dutch politician and international abortion activistLiliane Ploumen by receiving her into the Order of St. Gregory – a pontifical honor given for “meritorious service to the Church.” Ploumen said she considered the award from the pope to be confirmation of her work.

Further, Pope Francis has continually welcomed a stream of population control supporters at the Vatican since early in his pontificate. These include Paul Ehrlich, considered the father of the population control movement; John Bongaarts, vice president of the pro-abortion Population Council; pro-abortion U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon; and population control supporters Jeffrey Sachs and John Schellnhuber.

Last year the pope removed all the members of the Pontifical Academy for Life, dropped the Academy’s pro-life pledge, and diluted its mandate to include immigration, arms control, and the environment. HE also added new anti-life members.

Who knows…perhaps Pope Francis will someday confer a Papal award or title upon Andrew Cuomo for his support for illegal immigrants.

Don’t the Supreme Court decisions on abortion just make this law redundant? Is it largely “virtue signalling” on the politicians’ part. (A twisted, satanic kind of virtue.)

No. The latest flurry of abortion legislation in leftist controlled states is in response to the real threat that a constitutionalist majority may soon sit on the U.S. Supreme Court and at least pare back the extreme federal case law. That would then send back to the states the power taken away by SCOTUS in Roe v. Wade.

I was listening to Meeke Addison on the podcast of “Airing the Addisons,” broadcast last Friday. This past week was the culmination, or the next step in a downward moral spiral started by New York politicians in 1970, when they legalized abortion and expressly included women from out of state as welcome to visit New York for an abortion. Put down your coffee at home or set the cruise control if you listen to this while driving. Commentary on New York’s new law strengthening abortion and spiritual implications starts at 38:32.

Meeke is a reformed evangelical Christian, who would not sign up for Roman Catholic theology. AND, her voice, her words are at least as stark as @brianwatt here. Sadly, the Gospel Coalition had no words of direct condemnation, in stark contrast to calling racism “sin” in time for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Timothy Keller, the founder of a New York City megachurch and supposed respected evangelical voice, was completely silent–in contrast to, or perhaps as a consequence of–his embrace of “woke” racial church politics, after the election of President Trump.
