Love it.  This year’s version of “How can I miss you if you won’t go away?”

They really are trying to rewrite it, you know.  I already saw one performance this year where the line “say, what’s in this drink?” was replaced with “say, was that a wink?”

As funny as this is, I am worried the dynamic envisioned in this song will become a reality once sex robots become well-designed and affordable.

For some reason gays get a pass when they sing this song. Did I mention I’m a libertarian. I like everybody having a good time as long as they don’t raise my taxes or intrude on property rights. Also, lots of gay people are great singers.

Calling a cab instead of an uber does seem to age this some.

Not likely; men won’t even bother inviting women over in the first place so there will be no need to send them home.

“Revisionism is definitely best served cold and outside, isn’t it, baby?” Nah, doesn’t have the same ring to it, not at all… :-D

The irony here is that the song as used in the movie Neptune’s Daughter has a women “forcing” herself on a man with the same song:

    “maybe just a cigarette more”

I’ve never heard that line before.  Guess this isn’t the first time the song has been rewritten!

It’s in the mental monologue of the woman, if the song lasts long enough…
