I couldn’t believe Nancy Pelosi allowed herself to be filmed saying these things. She’s the one pledging to work across party lines.

If she was talking about the Republicans, it’s a major case of transference. Or she could have been talking about Harry Reid.

Yes. Democrats vote on their leader but for Speaker every representative of both parties gets a vote. That’s why if there are even a handful of Democratic defectors (15-20 depending on final mid-term results) from Pelosi, the GOP holds the balance of power. Go Nancy!
This morning, as I drove to work, I heard a reporter say the Nancy Pelosi said that she was discriminated against because she was a woman. Immediately, I thought, “Oh, don’t be silly! No one thinks “woman” when they think of her. They might think liar, power-grabber, Botox, or any number of other things, though.”
I love it when politicians show us how valuable they truly are.
Even if she thought she was speaking of Republicans she was telling us what they do. It reminded me of Hillary complaining about Obama vote mining in the primaries where he defeated her. They both did in their general elections that’s one of the reasons they win so many popular votes. SOP for Democrats and letting them get away with it is SOP for Republicans.
I liked the idea someone came up with to make Ocasio-Cortez Speaker. There might be enough Dems to vote as a block with Republicans to make “Jaws” the Democrats’ poster child . . .
I don’t think Ms. Pelosi remembers anything she ever says. We probably should not pay much attention.
As long as Dorothy can hang onto those ruby slippers, the damage Nancy can inflict is limited.
