We are still a nation of laws. Our constitution—and the renewed, reasonable belief that elections matter for all of us—ensures that our political differences are largely managed through peaceful means. This year is no different.

In the past month, we have seen prominent Republicans terrorized with mailed bio-weapons, some of which turned out to be real, and some fake. We have seen prominent Democrats terrorized with mailed bombs, some of which (so far) turned out to be fake. Fake or real, the terrorist effect is the same.

The same law enforcement agencies, from local to national, must act will equal diligence, without respect to party or politics. Indeed, they were just as swift in arresting (at least one of) the bioweapon terrorist(s) who mailed ricin threats to Republicans, as they were in catching the mail-bomber who targeted Democrats. While the media has clearly chosen sides and treats threats differently depending on party (as Congressman Steve Scalise has noted), the American people see clearly.

Indeed, President Trump congratulated law enforcement and fully condemned the bomber, at a White House event for the Young Black Leadership Conference. He then went into praising these young people for their courage in the face of political and even physical attacks from the left.

Contrary to politicians who call us “bitter clingers,” or who write off 43% of us as government dependents, or who call us “deplorable,” we are the real center of power, the true guarantors of our liberty, and we choose—

Jobs not Mobs.

As President Trump says at every rally:

We will never give up. We will never give in. We will never, ever back down and we will never, ever surrender.

Because we are Americans and our hearts bleed red, white, and blue.

We are one people. We are one family. And we are one glorious nation under God.

We will decide the direction of our nation with:

Ballots, not Bioweapons.

Ballots, not Bombs.

The President is going full-throttle, bringing the high heat to the media in the North Carolina MAGA rally (Live now—as of 7:20 PM East Coast time).

Real debate about the real issues.”

I would love to get the perspective of any R> members who were at the NC rally or the Wisconsin one.

Anyone going to the Murphysboro, IL, rally on 27 October?

    Fort Meyers, Florida, 31 October?

    Columbia, MO, 1 November?

Notice the President is not putting the brakes on the MAGA events, and not hunkering down.

President Trump can and should slam the door on “Mittens” (Tammy Bruce’s moniker for Romney when he was an ineffective presidential candidate) with the statement:

I appreciate Mitt’s call for civility, especially since he took the lead on publicly denouncing the media and Democrats for their inflamatory speech, when he held that big news conference denouncing his fellow Utah man for sending bioweapon threats to our great military leaders and to me.

So, the career criminal, who was not locked up, was also not thrown off Twitter after threatening an African-American woman:

We are a nation of laws that are interpreted, enforced or ignored according to political whim, political ambitions, monetary desires. Law enforcement reacts to those interpretations, ambitions, whims and acts accordingly.

The President has all the more reason today to double down and proclaim America a land of:

“Ballots not Bullets / Ballots not Bioweapons / Ballots not Bombs.”

The monster who murdered Jews in their place of worship, at a baby-naming ceremony, shares in the deep hatred of President Trump. The murderer hates this President because Trump celebrates keeping his word, moving our embassy to Jerusalem, and preaches at every event:

We will never give up. We will never give in. We will never, ever back down and we will never, ever surrender.

Because we are Americans and our hearts bleed red, white, and blue.

We are one people. We are one family. And we are one glorious nation under God.

The President returns the monster’s hate, with righteous interest: (starts at 14:30). The transcript is in all caps.

YOU WON’T THINK THIS WOULD BE POSSIBLE IN THIS DAY AND AGE, BUT WE JUST DON’T SEEM TO LEARN FROM THE PAST. OUR MINDS CAN’T COMPREHEND THE CRUEL HATE AND TWISTED MALICE THAT COULD CAUSE A PERSON TO UNLEASH SUCH TERRIBLE VIOLENCE DURING A BABY NAMING CEREMONY. THIS WAS A BABY NAMING CEREMONY AT A SACRED HOUSE OF WORSHIP ON THE HOLLY DAY — ON AN HOLY DAY. ANTI-SEMITISM AND THE WIDE SPREAD PERSECUTION OF JEWS REPRESENTS ONE OF THE UGLIEST AND — UGLIEST AND DARK — THIS MUST BE CONDEMNED AND CONFRONTED EVERYWHERE AND ANYWHERE IT APPEARS.

He then circled back into this topic, demanding the death penalty, in the midst of his compliments to the FFA members. He then brought out a rabbi and pastor to come out and pray.

[I just posted separately on this.]

Not sure about the 43% statement. A recent report by CBO says 50% of Americans get more transfer payments out of government than they pay in taxes.

I’m sure you get the distinction between writing our fellow citizens off as beholden to the state and speaking, as Reagan and Trump, about one people, with aspirational language.
