Our young student of this particular aspect of American history then proceeds to demonstrate his remarkable knowledge of all, not just a few, of our Presidents, and is awestruck when Ms. Zito tells him she has actually interviewed several Presidents, including the present occupant of that office.
Thank you @jimgeorge for passing on such a wonderful story.
Zito was the first to predict the Trump victory. She has her finger on the pulse.
I read this on Selena Zito’s site – these are the people (us!) that she reports on.
Thank you, Jim. I feel just as you do about that story — inspired.
We too often miss these “gifts” of experience when we are pre-occupied with the difficulties of life. When we see them, as you did @jimgeorge, and take the time to share them with others, we all share in those blessings. Thank you.
Jim – Just now got to read this inspirational blog – calming down after the hurricane too. It goes to show how important good teachers are, and how they influence at such a young age – what a smart little boy. I also loved the part where he had to earn a phone – I see so many kids riveted to electronics, even walking, and in restaurants instead of talking, like that little boy. He was socializing, and even made a sailor happy (and visa versa).
