Just give Trump time. I’m sure being the grownup baby that he is he will try to once again draw attention to himself by doing something. You know how he hates to share the spot light.

I think it has much more to do with Trump than it appears.  Sure, they would be opposing any conservative, but they are dead set determined to stop anything that Trump may claim as an achievement.  And by ‘they’ I don’t just mean Democrats, there are Republicans who would rather see us lose the seat than have to acknowledge Trump won something that furthered conservatism.

I blame some of the over the top protests and this last minute smear on Trump opposition more than run of the mill partisanship.  It is liberal playbook turned up to 11.

I’ve noticed that Bob Woodward has retreated from the headlines this week. :-)

Another bite on the poor dog: Trump’s comments throughout have been decidedly “presidential.” As Andy McCarthy told John Bachelor, when Trump focuses he has shown he can master details and be disciplined. But I understand why Trump Haters expect a flub, too.

I noticed that too, Marci. Thus far, it’s the brightest silver lining in this whole sordid mess. (A not merely confirmed but actually exonerated Kavanaugh, if we are fortunate enough to actually get that, would be the best outcome.)

I can’t rule out something like this happening, even with President Jeb! Bush. Regardless who occupies the Oval Office, the Left would still be just this looney at the prospect of a 5-4 conservative majority at SCOTUS, once you factor in the payback for Merrick Garland (sp?).
