Recommended by Ricochet Members Created with Sketch. Barack Obama is right.

Just a snippet from Barry O’s speech Friday:

“It did not start with Donald Trump. He is a symptom, not the cause. He’s just capitalizing on resentments that politicians have been fanning for years.”

Well, at least the eight years before Trump was elected. Nice moment of self-reflection there, Barry.

I wonder if the second such jackwagon signifies the end of our republic or if it will be the third.

I’m hoping we’ll go for someone less jackwagonny next time. We’ve got some promising up-n-comers. (Go, Nikki, Go!)

That would make their heads explode. A woman and a minority.

Nah, they’ll just call her a misogynist white supremacist, and they’ll do it with absolute sincerity. Their capacity for irrational self-delusion is bottomless.

How can Obama possibly campaign for other people when the only thing he ever talks about is himself ?

A great danger is the intensified racism and wrong-headed ‘feminism’ promoted throughout our society during the Obama presidency. Our youngest adults have been indoctrinated in a fashion that omits entirely the progress made in the last half of the last century. This has been accomplished by the Left within our public education system and no really effective measures have been taken to deal with that.

    Its upside down week. Trudeau finally said something True;

“The world is moving towards more diversity, not less diversity. It’s a form of entropy where people will come with different perspectives, the advancement of communication, raising standards of living around the world…[it] means that our communities, our boardrooms, are going to be more and more diverse,” Trudeau said at a forum in Canada’s capitol.

No, Trudeau is wrong. The *world* is becoming *less* diverse and more homogeneous. The whole world is moving towards strip malls of chain stores, global online entities, and glass towers. Race matters less and less all the time. That is a form of entropy.

BTW, if you say that 2% growth is the new normal, and certain jobs aren’t coming back, you don’t get to take credit for stronger growth and those certain jobs coming back.

Dude, we need a permalink to those comments. Great fodder for the next time someone attempts to give him credit for the economy.

And that can work ok, as long as we don’t destroy the diversity of ideas.

    G. W. Bush shut up during Obama’s administration, but broke his silence to criticize Trump. The Establishment has more patience with statist Democrats than with outsiders, as I long expected.

I voted for Obama the first time, I thought McCain was too disorganized [possibly going senile] and we couldn’t afford another disorganized President. I also had projections of Obama living up to his rhetoric of being a uniter, not a divider. I had visions of him giving a speech about the racial grievance industrial complex similar to Eisenhower’s. It wasn’t meant to be.

I did too, Petty Boozswha, and again in 2012. (Sorry, @rightangles; I can’t even claim blondhood…)

You could say you had a couple of “blond moments”. That’s what the dark-haired lady engineers used to say at work.

The blond lady engineers laughed too. When you know you’re really smart, you can laugh at stereotypes . . .

I recently finished listening to Eisenhower’s Sputnik Moment, narrated by our very own @douglaspratt, and was somewhat surprised to learn that when JFK succeeded him as president, Eisenhower didn’t keep his criticisms to himself. I remember those days (of not so very long ago) and didn’t remember any of that. It makes me wonder if the media weren’t present, or something.

This maybe the basic problem with Liberals, they think that Entropy is a good thing. Embrace entropy!

Perhaps he doesnt know what the word means, Entropy:

lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder.

Every time he talks, Pretty Boy hurt self.

Surprised he didn’t name drop enthalpy.

My friends and relatives have pushed back hard on very similar observations of mine. I want to send them these clips and say “Okay, St. Barack has said it…now is it true?”

    They’ll say he was misquoted.

As so much of Obama’s personal brand is invested in how great he was (two autobiographies before you’ve done anything), this doesn’t surprise me.

My favorite excuse was that he was bad at being President because he thought it was beneath him and he was bored. Like some kid getting C’s because he’s lazy and you blame the teacher for not inspiring him
