Doc Jay from the Whiskey Vault
Doc sends his regards to the Ricochetti. He’s on a year-long sabbatical from work and all forms of social media (and is delighted with his decision). As America tips its hat to the passing of John McCain, here’s our after-hours chat filmed moments after we learned of the Senator’s terminal diagnosis. We cover a lot here as the good Doc is one smart cookie. Sorry that we are three or so whiskey’s into it by the end.

Your presence and contributions have been missed DocJay, but I can certainly understand your decision.
Please let Doc Jay know that he is missed. We rarely agreed, but I found him to be thought provoking. I wish him well.
Every one has to do what they need to do to take care of themselves. I have taken breaks from Ricochet, albeit not as long as Doc Jay.
Thanks for the word about the good Doc Jay. His presence is sorely missed.
Ah! I was just in his neck of the woods and tried to track him down – unsuccessfully. I look forward to listening to the podcast by this weekend. Please give him our regards.

I will likely be driving through Reno on September 21st. Any idea how I could contact Doc Jay?
Please give him our best, Sussman. He is missed but I am extremely jealous of his sabbatical.
Haven’t listened yet, but want to add my voice to the growing chorus: “We miss you, Doc Jay!”
You have a Whiskey vault?!?!?!?
Student of Coughlin’s Law since 1988.
This podcast reminds me why we all miss DocJay. Since this was made some months ago, please do us all a favor and contact him again soon so we can know about life sans Ricochet. I agree with Doc that you are a great interviewer.
Honored. This was fun, even with the interruptions by the crowd. Jay’s a true gentleman.
PS. We speak regularly. He’s enjoying his solitude, family and is very happy.
Just what the Doctor ordered.
As it should be.
Please send him my best regards.
Hi, DS! Thanks for the treat of hearing both of you again! I like my politics better with whiskey, these days. :-) Kindly pass along a Nanda hug to DocJay, too…Please and thank you? (Here’s a Nanda hug for you, too.)
One of the last posts I remember from DocJay was about his hunt for the right CPAP device. Great to hear him again.
Please let him know we miss him and wish him good health and happiness, @davesussman.
Actually tried to ping Doc at his only email address I had, which I then remembered was defunct. Defuncty. De cold. De medina.
Can’t wait to listen.
I’m glad to hear that the Bruins backer is doing well, and has been said, we miss him.
I don’t know. Fake an illness in the right neighborhood?
I miss DocJay and look forward to his eventual return!
Or in the wrong neighborhood?
Unfortunately Gary he has in fact gone dark – all the contact info I had / have on him is via Ricochet and his practice – all of which he has shutdown. Interestingly he is still listed in Reno as an active doctor despite closing his practice down.
Yes, none of my contact information for DocJay works anymore, either.
Only The Shadow Knows.
A fortunate man who can take a long sabbatical without a grant from some wealthy benefactor!
But the important thing is he still has his ricochet subscription right :)?
