Friday Roundup

I’m going to try to make this a weekly post. There are a few stories floating around that you may have missed and, in my humble opinion, deserve more attention. Every week on Fridays, I hope to highlight a few:

There’s a crazy story out of New Mexico that would be getting a lot more play if those involved were Christian homeschoolers or NRA members. Fox News has a report below, and the Today Show did as well.

A local paper has more details:

As authorities worked to determine whether the remains of a small boy are that of a missing Georgia child, prosecutors in Taos County accused the boy’s father of training at least one other youngster to commit a school shooting, according to court documents obtained Wednesday.

New criminal complaints filed in state District Court on Wednesday morning indicate investigators believe Siraj Ibn Wahhaj had trained one of the 11 children at a dilapidated complex near Amalia to commit school shootings. Taos County prosecutor Tim Hasson wrote in court documents that a foster parent of one of the children removed from the compound following a raid Friday had told investigators the child had been trained by Wahhaj to use an assault rifle in preparation for an assault.

Israel is under assault from hundreds of missiles coming from Gaza. You’ll only hear about the situation when Israel defends its borders. Here’s one powerful video of parents and children running for cover in Southern Israel:

Also from Katie Pavlich, an important story about abuse children at the border are experiencing at the hands of those posing as their parents.

An illegal alien from Guatemala who claimed he was traveling to the U.S. with his “daughter” in April has been arrested just months later for multiple felonies, including repeated rape and other sexual abuse of the young child.

“On April 16, 2018 Ramon Pedro entered the United States through the Ysleta Port of Entry in Texas where he was accompanied by his alleged daughter. On the same date, U.S. Customs and Border Protection arrested him and his alleged daughter. They were subsequently released on alternatives to detention,” a Department of Homeland Security official said in a statement.

Pedro crossed the border illegally and did not claim asylum.

While I’ve vocally been opposed to the child separation policy, the fact remains there is the potential for abuse and for children to be used in border crossings in order to provide protection for the adults making the trip. The father of the famed child crying on the cover of TIME Magazine explained what his child was doing at the border,

Sanchez and her daughter had left Puerto Cortes, a major Honduran port north of the capital city, Tegucigalpa, without telling Valera or the couple’s three other children, he said.

He said he imagined that Sanchez left with the little girl for the United States, where she has family, in search of better economic opportunities.

“If they are deported, that is OK as long as they do not leave the child without her mother,” Valera said. “I am waiting to see what happens with them.”

Are there any stories floating around out there that you think deserve more attention?

I’m really, really upset by the Israel story.  What happened to the Iron Dome?  And as you say,  I’m more upset by the lack of any coverage of it.  Hey,  they’re Jews, they’ll get over it….

My fave this week, as I’ve posted this morning, is the Left’s new ploy to turn the Trump administration’s attempts to wipe out MS13 into another reason for American self-hatred!   Th organization was “created” or at least, developed its name, right here in Los Angeles!  Whew!! We no longer need to face the uncomfy fact of the predominant ethnicity and alien status  of these murderers!  Some of their new recruits, after all are just cute lil preteens who post on Facebook!  If we applaud the administration’s efforts to eradicate and control them, why, were only hurting ourselves…..

This is the story I find the most disturbing.

This is one of the most heinous elements in Africa and the Middle East – the use of child soldiers – and now it is in our own backyard.

Here is more information from M. Zuhdi Jasser on New Mexico. It’s even worse than is being reported.

The story about the Muslim terrorists training children that they grabbed didn’t get much press and that is astonishing!!!!  Another is this Diane Feinstein who had a Chinese driver for 20 years who may be a spy and could have bugged her offices – her husband possibly benefited from links to Chinese companies – something to that effect – that is a doozy!!

@bethanymandel, this will be an invaluable service to all of us because, as hard as I try to stay close to current, and perhaps others have this same challenge, I try to read as many articles as possible every day and always greatly appreciate it when others highlight a piece or pieces I have never heard of and, quite frequently, sites or publications I didn’t even know existed.

I also try to send out articles to  my small list (which goes by the name “The Patriot Friends”) I think they may not have seen, in the same sense you outlined above.

May I, without seeming presumptuous, follow up your pieces, perhaps over the weekend, with items I may think others might not have picked up on? Having said that, it seems that is what some of us do, anyway, without any formal schedule or format; it just seemed to me to be such a great idea and one which would simply be what I am already doing for my little band of Patriots.

Thanks also to @susanquinn for the additional information on the New Mexico horror and to @frontseatcat for noting the astonishing story of one of the two Senators from California having a Chinese spy on her payroll for years; seems California is well served by its two Senators. s/o.

Does anyone else wonder if journalism, as a true profession, will ever return to its role as an impartial purveyor of the truth, free of the odious taint of sycophancy which reached its high water mark during the Obama worship years and has now been converted into their white hot hatred of the President, and, as we saw in  the terrible treatment of Sarah Huckabee Sanders and others, all those around him? I am not at all optimistic but would certainly welcome other views in the event I am being overly pessimistic.

Again, thank you for this valuable post, and the idea behind it.

    Sincerely, Jim

Liberal Newsrag Editor: “Let’s not tell them about this event because it would confirm the biases we don’t want them to have.”

Wide-ranging News Reader: “If they spiked this story, how many other instances of this kind of thing must there be?”
