I’m not sure I would put Roberts on that side of the scales.
Perhaps the most perceptive observation was that Kennedy had the choice in the decades in the future of having a Gorsuch Court, or a Ginsberg Court, and he choose the former not the latter.
I thought the sleeping judge in the background would have been the one to retire…..
I fully expected that she would abruptly announce her retirement right about November 8, setting off a frenetic push to have the new justice confirmed before January. And, IMO, it would have happened. Curious that she didn’t. Did she expect the election results not to stand?
She will never retire. She intends to die in office because she is intent on being the oldest and longest serving justice ever.
