IG Report Due Today … But Was Leaked Yesterday
So here is a short and to the point recent clip of Alan Dershowitz on Fox News regarding the leaked details of the IG report that comes out Monday. What exactly will the Congress critters and the public learn about Comey, McCabe, and others, and the reasons for their spying on and investigating Trump?
Significantly, Dershowitz states: “It proves that we never needed a special counsel.”
It is the original IG report that got leaked. Tomorrow the “official report,” rather than the original report, comes out.
The man stating that: “It proves that we never needed a special counsel,” has been a lifelong Democrat.
I know many don’t like Dershowitz now because he now backs President Trump, but I have to say he is excellent on Constitutional law. I am thankful to know that even though Comey and Lynch are allowed to make changes to the final report, we will at least get to see what they changed. I thought we would never see anything relating to the original draft.

I certainly hope that a lot of people are going to prison. They have to avoid DC juries, though. Sessions has wisely used a USA in Utah. Jurisdiction will be an issue and Obama judges will try to keep control.

I heard Dershowitz say that people want to see the original before they tamper with it, but I haven’t heard that the original has been leaked. Do you know who said that?
I think you and I have a semantic disagreement.
Maybe I should have used the word “draft” when referring to the report that has been leaked.
I don’t think Dershowitz backs Trump. He just calls them as he sees them, and for the most part, Trump has been toeing the Constitutional line.
Do we know that the official report wasn’t finished by the time of the leaks? I just don’t want us to get our hopes up that we’ll see the draft in full. I sure would love it, though!
Dershowitz describes himself as a proud Hillary supporter. He just thinks there isn’t a different Constitution for Donald Trump than for Barack Obama.
He annoys me on this though. He’s against the ‘criminalization of politics’. But he can’t seem to see any distinction between wrongfully using the criminal justice system for political purposes, and the prosecution of actual crimes. He condemns both doing the former against Trump, and the latter against Hillary.
It’s my understanding that the report doesn’t come out until the 14th.
Last-minute bug-fixes, I imagine.
Dershowitz doesn’t “back” Trump. Dershowitz is one of the last of a breed which is sadly dying on both sides – someone who tells the truth no matter who benefits.
I think that’s the first time I’ve watched a Fox YouTube clip without being appalled at the behavior of the Fox reporters or whatever you call them. (The number I’ve watched is not large.)
I rarely watch Fox reporters myself. I watch Hannity and Tucker, sometimes Ingraham.
Reporters these days are simply too strange for me to deal with.
