Recommended by Ricochet Members Created with Sketch. “I’m Not Politically Incorrect. You’re Just Brainwashed and Stupid.”

Been thinking about posting this for a while now and DC’s post from yesterday has kicked me into gear. So here we go. Was thinking the other day about these silly gender wars (and such) and “said” to myself something like this: “I cannot, will not be made to believe that there are more than two sexes. Guess I’m just politically incorrect.”

Immediately, however, another thought popped into my ‘noggin. “No you are not.”

The point is that I will no longer let the Progs tell me that I am politically incorrect. I’ll turn it back on them every stinking time and laugh as they try to defend that position.

What are some others that we’ve allowed ourselves to get tagged with?

One that annoys me is that “Dreamers” came here “through no fault of their own”. Well, it was damn well somebodies fault. And yet the left wants to stop right there and not deal with those who are responsible. I say, if they stay, their parents are deported. If they sneak back, the kids go too.

What haven’t we been tagged with? We hate women, we are racist, homophobic, transphobic, it is ridiculous. I think it’s coming back to bite them, though: hope so :)

    Racist. Sexist. Mean. Hateful.

    Intolerant.

There’s a whole lot o’ projection goin’ on.

Something I’ve been wondering about lately. You hear the “my truth” phrase tossed about. I’m okay with people thinking they have their own personal truth, if they wish. But I don’t see why I have to pretend that their truth is my truth as well — nor, for that matter, why I have to pretend their pronoun choices make sense to me.

    I’m with you.

I fly Southwest Airlines. Therefore, I cannot hate women. 😎

It took me a while to get it, too. The far left is permanently incontinent in thought, speech, and deed. And just as some wear slurs with pride, maybe “politically incorrect” is getting to signify “common sensical” to more and more of us. Let us hope.

Yep, good one. I about fell out of my chair the first time I heard that.

Yes sir. That (“common sensical”) is how I always took it and with honor and pride, but no mas!!! Those days are done I’m afraid. In other words, at least on that one, the pushback begins.

P.S. I’ll still give the secret handshake at functions and such.

If you are a proud Southerner (or even if you just like the Dukes of Hazzard) you will be labeled a ‘neo-Confederate’, by many pundits on the right as well as by progressives.

If you oppose illegal immigration (and especially if you believe legal immigration is too high), you will be labeled a xenophobic nativist.

If you actively oppose political correctness and identity politics, you will be labeled Alt-Right.

Expect to be thrown to the wolves by most of the political and donor class (but you probably already knew all that ;))

This one has been floating around for awhile but it still drives me ape: The term “Illegal Immigrant.” My brain hurts every time I hear someone say “people can’t be illegal.”

No I did not. The neo-confederate thing is a new one on me but it makes me no never mind because I have been one of them for as long as I could think for myself about stuff like that.

No, “white privilege” is homework and study.

Chinese and other Asians have it, too.

So do real Africans. I interviewed a black guy applying to the Army Reserve two weeks ago. He is 32 years old, born in Nigeria. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Industrial Engineering. Both degrees are in Nigeria. He told me his choices were Engineering and Optometry. Nigeria needs both. I asked him if he is an Ibo (now called Igbo) and he was pleased I knew about it. Yes, of course he is. No “Black Studies” in Nigeria. I have had medical students from Africa. They just don’t understand American blacks.

They won’t even say illegal immigrant anymore, it’s undocumented worker. I like to remind them that illegal alien is written into current law.

I had a Kenyan student much like that in a history course I taught five years ago. A serious and excellent student who completed my course with a nearly perfect grade. Here’s the kicker: his surname was Obama.

I wonder how long “undocumented worker” survives PC revision. It seems like the left is moving towards “de facto citizen” or some such.

They floated undocumented citizen a few years back, but the scorn was too high. They might try bringing that one back.
