Recommended by Ricochet Members Created with Sketch. The Ballad of Elizabeth Warren

To the tune of The Ballad of Jed Clampett (the theme song and closing verse from “The Beverly Hillbillies”):

Come and listen to a story ’bout a gal named Liz,
Poor lady lawyer was nothing like a whiz.
She knew that Harvard was the place she ought to be,
So she came up with the lie that she was part Cherokee!
(Indian blood … faculty diversity … we can check off a box—you’re hired!)

Well, the first thing you know old Liz’s Harvard bound,
Thanks to the heritage she recently had found.
But then a conservative said she didn’t rate,
Her Cherokee blood—she could not authenticate!
(2020 Democrat nomination … down the drain … life’s tough when caught in a lie.)

[cue the banjo to the end]

Well, now it’s time to say goodbye to Liz and all her dreams.
She would like to kill the right
for stopping all her schemes.
Maybe she’ll show up again in 2024,
Assuming she’s mobile enough to get out through the door.
(Rest home … older than dirt socialist using a walker … where’s Oprah when you need her … ya hear?)

As the main character in my science fiction novels says, “It’s a gift.”

Good job, Stad. But remember, being a Democrat means never having to say, “Aw, I’m too old to run again.” Which reminds me, today my mom told me she saw Bernie Sanders giving a speech on TV. She said he better calm down because he looked like he might have a heart attack.

Diane Feinstein is running again. She’s 84. Do they never get tired of telling us what to do?

You mean . . . we can? But that would mean we don’t need Democrats!

Great parody! I only hope you’re right.

Im hoping Nikki Haley will be put first female prez! I didn’t like some of the stuff she said in the campaign, but it seems like she’s learning at the feet of the master now.

Nikki has been very forceful in her short time at the UN. Hopefully she would be equally forceful as President. I’m convinced the Dems will push for Kamala Harris to enter the race, as she checks off a lot of boxes on their “must have” list . . .

I like our Indian much better. Easier on the eyes too, for what it’s worth.

Harris failed the California bar exam her first time, later saying, “it’s not a measure of your capacity.”[12] She was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1990.[24]

No idea but seems like not passing the bar on the first try is a pretty big deal.

No. That should be so obvious by now we shouldn’t have to explain it to you.

IIRC, Hillary couldn’t pass the DC bar.

I love her quote, “I know who I am.”

That’s true Liz, but we don’t!

Never. John McCain (yeah, I know he’s technically not a Democrat) isn’t going to give up his seat until he’s hauled off Capitol Hill in a hearse.

I know at least one very good lawyer who did not pass the Bar on his first try. It is fairly common (or at least it was in the 1980’s and ’90’s) with the California Bar. I wouldn’t hold that particular fact against her. There’s plenty of other, more substantive things to hold against her.

Actually, we do know what she is. She is a fraud.
