Spring Break

Attention faithful Ricochet Podcast listeners: We know what you’re thinking — after last week’s donnybrook, you’re looking for a nice, civil chat from your favorite audio based pundits. Well, we had planned to do a show this week, but due to some very complex travel plans of the hosts and the producer, well, we sadly could not find a good time to get one recorded.

We promise we’ll be back next week with a super duper show. In the meantime, enjoy this brief respite from the punditocracy.

Will the Blue Yeti be forced to pinkie swear that Peter is not still hanging up the phone?

Lileks really needs to add that suit to his wardrobe.  He’s already a force, but a gilded force?  Unstoppable.

Yeti produced this post just to say that we are “on the record.” And I produce the graphics because, well, that’s “my master’s voice.”

    *Tilting my head from side-to-side*

    P.S. – 50,000,000 Lileks fans can’t be wrong.

You mean Lileks can’t do one where he reads ads and complains about the new Star Trek to his dog?

All righty then, you’re going with the old “complex travel plans” narrative .

OK …. wink wink ,nudge nudge ….. I’m hip to your “travel plans” …. see you next week.

Counting his colonic bacteria as fans is a stretch.

Does she like to spend the money? Is the Pope a South American socialist? Does a bear act like a CNN reporter in the woods?

Literally, yeah. Hard on the spine.

I’m now going to use “counting his colonic bacteria” instead of saying someone has his head up his [CoC]

If a bear acted like a CNN reporter in the woods, it would repeatedly run head-first into trees, because it was intent on proving the effects of climate change on the forest.

Yeah, Spring Break is in late March to early April (depending on your school district).

No podcast this week? What am I supposed to do now? Listen to The Substandard?

By the way, I just noticed … it’s Sonny Bunch, not Sonny Barger. No wonder they never talk about bikes.

I’m surprised you guys would want to bring that album out, given the reputations at stake. Yes, I’m aware all the files are sealed, but we all know the project was financed by Meyer Lansky.

Mr. Yeti Sir, I seem to remember that James Lileks was NOT a member of the original cast.  The original other guy was some fuzzy-faced Canadian dude.  AmIright?

“Donnybrook”?  Jeepers, Yeti.  According to last week’s description, Peter and Charlie both gave “a master class in how to disagree civilly.”  Heck, we were even encouraged to “take notes, people.”

…And yet the episode was titled The Wrestlers — a title that preceded 16 pages festooned with wrestling imagery.  And now you’re even calling it a “donnybrook.”

May I call that a contradiction?

We simply refer to him as the Pete Best of Ricochet.

Those were the days when we were still in out-of-town previews, ditching weak numbers, rearranging the order of our most original score.

When the photoshop guy joins the cast you’ll know we’re in full blown dinner theater mode.

I think you may be exaggerating a bit:

a title that preceded 16 pages festooned with wrestling imagery”

@blueyeti – When you said there would be a show “next” week, did you mean in two weeks?  I’m getting  a little concerned that there is more going on here than complex travel plans…

Do not be concerned! We are taping a rare Sunday show with James and Rob Long and guests Bethany and Seth Mandel in mere minutes. Will be out before 12PM PT today.
