Heh. No, probably not, then. I was there from 84 to 89. But thanks for bringing in some quality films. ; )
No, no, no. Sudbury Neutrino was a utility infielder for the Seattle Pilots.
Spring training: 28 days, 0 hours, 56 minutes.
I had been considering asking for this update, thankfully I didn’t have to.
We are going to have to try that. Thank you.
Someone who believes that global warming made by man exists is Bjorn Lomborg, an economist who argues that all the climate policies come with trade offs which effect the poor disproportionatly. He has said that a warmer climate is a kinder climate.
I don’t know why those that believe in climate change can’t acknowledge the damage man made policies have. Those don’t need to have hockey stick equations to explain. When the cost of something goes up, people have to either get more money or cut somewhere else.
As Lomborg says, Africa uses the most renewable energy, and they are also the poorest continent in the world. https://www.project-syndicate.org/commentary/africa-needs-fossil-fuels-by-bj-rn-lomborg-2016-01?barrier=accessreg
That’s relevant. I like Lomborg. I think he’s right about prioritizing people’s welfare over other considerations. But, he gives way too much credit to climate hysterics. The second you give into the idea that CO2 is a pollutant, you’re caught in their socialist snare. You can’t give these people an inch!
The true believers don’t like Lomborg anyway. He insists that extreme weather events have nothing to do with global warming. He says that global warming would actually cause less severe weather. The true believers don’t like that.
Yeah, but that’s my point. He’s not an atmospheric scientist. He’s lending undeserved credibility to the claims of hysterics by proclaiming on a subject he can’t possibly know about either! The primary cause of “Global Warming” is all the hot air produced by people lacking the intellectual humility to say, “I don’t know.”
Point of order: Lomborg is not an economist. His M.A. and PhD are in Political Science. He describes himself as a statistician.
The primary cause of global warming and global cooling is the nearest star.
That’s probably true, and how you know that “climate scientists” who poo poo solar effects right off the bat are neither humble nor serious.
Thanks for the update, he talks a lot about the economics of what those policies do to the poor in return for basically nothing for the earth.
Milt Friedman once said something like it doesn’t take a degree to be an economist, some are naturals at it? Or something like that.
