The “Progressive Left” has been waging war on the traditional culture for 50 years. It’s about time they took a few casualties. Certainly, Republicans have their hypocrites and the show business types like O’Reilly have more in common with Hollywood than someone like Chuck Grassley. The worst the left seems to be able to come up with is a state legislator trying to have sex with his wife who has Alzheimers. Of course the accusation was from hostile step children.

Are they really that delusional or are they looking for a way out of the humiliating position they put themselves in… Better to be thought an old fool who misread a woman’s interest – than a dirty old man who didnt care about her interest?
The one good thing about this – is that its going to help drain the swamp – maybe not entirely in Washington, but the media enablers might soon be out of work. At what point does failing to report crimes become a enabler or co-conspirator in those crimes? The media used to think the cover up was worse than the actual crime (and some of these are down right horrific) but they dont seem to think that anymore.

I wonder how much of this abuser mind set comes from the big college education.
They all see the big men on campus, the star athletes, getting into all sorts of trouble that would kill the academic careers of lesser men. It becomes ingrained in these people that these are the perks of being the star. So later in life, when they find success they feel entitled to do all the things that the big men on campus got away with 30 years ago. (and still do to this day)

Ok, whomever these people are today, isnt the point. They exist. When (for example) Matt Lauer starts pulling down $20 Million a year, he cant help but generate a ego, an entitlement ideology.
Also keeping in mind that we’re talking about people who would have developed their worldview and mind set 30+ years ago.

I think it all comes down to values, primarily “excellence”. The idea that “excellence” in one’s career carries a lot of weight among men. But in the micro, not so much. There are exceptions, of course, such as John Wooden.

I hadnt heard of John Wooden before. Sounds like a fantastic coach, teacher and a great man. I’ll have to do more reading on him – his 7 point creed looks fantastic – and well out of bounds of a modern teacher. He sounds exceptional.
