Another great interview, Dave. Rusty Humphries has been in and around the media circus for a long time, and knows what he’s talking about. Also, his book is quite good.
What he said about where the allegations will go was especially interesting. Today, we’re talking about allegations aimed at Matt Lauer, but how wide will the net be cast tomorrow to catch the impure? Undoubtably the Democrats feel it’s acceptable to lose some high profile celebrities and perhaps even a congressman, senator or ex-president as long as they can make the argument that Trump’s sexual history makes him unfit for the presidency. If everyone else loses their job for boorishness or being “rapey” then why not the President?
Anyone else notice that the allegations and rumors seem to be escalating in pitch? How long will it be before we start hearing truly incredible stories that sound like 1990’s daycare hysteria?
He used to be the Reno guy before he went to the northwest world. I talked to him many times on air. Phenomenal intelligent talk show host and a great big laugh of fellow.
Good stuff so far Dave, but I had to comment before finishing so I could slide under Melissa’s comment.
Rusty is one of the kindest, funniest and smartest guys I know. (Another is you, Jay)
I remember when Rusty had an evening program on XM satellite radio back in the late 2000s/early 2010s. He’s great and would be a fantastic addition to Ricochet.
Agreed!
Ammo Grrrll is over at Powerline this morning with some great commentary on this.
That was a great interview!
Yes, agreed. Humphries is a unique voice and I’m glad to get reacquainted with him. I used to listen to radio over the airwaves (imagine that!) and heard him quite bit and called him a few times. He and I have talked music a couple times, too.
Darn right. Good job, Dave.
These kinds of allegations will go on and on until there is some public revulsion in response. And that will most likely require some extremely high profile false accusation, that can be proven to be such beyond any question. I expect many additional scalps before that happens, and a likely reluctance on the part of men to work with women. The Pence rule is looking saner and saner.
