Gary, she’s even nicer in person!
Sawatdeeka, this is such an insightful description of why a fine writer like yourself might find Ricochet so appealing. Ricochet ought to use parts of your post as an advertisement.
I’ve been a Ricocheter for just a couple of months. It’s been fun trying to come up with interesting posts.
I was a freeloading “lurker” for a year or two. I should have joined earlier.

No, thank you! I wrote a post last year on my sixth anniversary (seventh is coming up next month), and in it I took a waltz down memory lane and recapitulated all the posts from December 12, 2010.
Here is what I wrote about a certain one:
Never stop writing! And please don’t let your membership expire.
So very true. Beautifully said. :)
I enjoy your posts so much. You make this a better place. :)
Beautifully put – I had not quite understood Ricochet this way before, but your post crystallized much of my own previously-amorphous thinking on the value of this little corner of the interwebbies. Thank you!
I’d guess that about half the time I write my posts on Word first and then copy and paste to Ricochet, and the other half I do what you do – press “Start a Conversation” and write my post.
Thank you sawatdeeka. Your presence here makes this a little better place.
A big “Like” to all the previous commenters.
And I just can’t believe that you’ve every produced much of this:
Nuh-uh :)
Ho….. ly……. Cow.
I read Yer post and checked My profile. I did not realize it has been over seven years that I’ve been ’round Here.
I enjoyed Yer post, like I have all of Them.
Preach on, Sista.
Well, when you’re talking to a blank document, you don’t have much to say, so you fill up the space with cliches. But when you know someone is going to read your writing in a few minutes, you quickly learn to cut out the fat so he/she will keep reading below the fold.
The immediacy of “Start a Conversation” motivates me to write and take care in what I say and how I say it.
Yep, you were part of the fun of the early days.
I remember reading your post, and was delighted to discover your serendipitous mention of me.
Kent, I’ve enjoyed reading your posts.
Thank you, iWe.
Aww, thank you! It was very nice to get to know the non-digital you as well.
Thank you. Same here. I really like the movie industry insights, and especially enjoyed the perspective you shared in response to my Bollywood Netflix recommendations. I’m thinking of posting more of those.
Thank you, MarciN! I’ve enjoyed interacting with you.
Belated happy anniversary!
Di mak Sawatdeeka! I am so new to the community and still “finding my way” so to speak that it’s good to see your experiences and confirm (or deny) my own thoughts. Thanks for the post.
Great post! As a fellow 7-year compatriot here, I resonate with much of this, particularly in my remembrances of my own “blog circle”, et. al.
Glad to see you here and still posting strong!
Sawatdeeka, great post. As iWe stated up above, you helped gel a lot of inchoate thoughts into a unified field theory of “why I like Ricochet.” Thanks.
Show off.
khob khun krab.
ด้วยความยินดี
(and yeah, that was so totally google)
Ha, ha, ha. I like that.
