Anyone remember the great Jeff MacNelly? That is who Ramirez reminds me of.

Jeff MacNelly was my art idol. He died way too young of cancer in the 90s. Ramirez is my new idol, and his style reminds me of MacNelly’s too. Ramirez has his own uniqueness as well. A really great artist with the loose and confident line work that goes with that. It’s a rare and wonderful combination to have the drawing talent, the brains, and the sense of humor it takes to do what Ramirez does so well.

Actually, he is! In fact, he signed and drew a Ronald Reagan for me in a copy of his latest book Give Me Liberty or Give Me Obamacare. My copy is actually up on his website!
