Take Them Down. Run Them Out. Win This War!

This is the kind of good news I want to read about every day. These gangs are turning our inner cities into bad places and it is time to run these monsters out of the country, or incarcerate them all.

Caso Pilato, an 18 month investigation into the Mara Salvatrucha (MS-13) gang by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) Transnational Criminal Investigative Unit (TCIU) in El Salvador, with significant support from HSI San Salvador, concluded last week with the arrests of 53 MS-13 members and associates during Operation Tecana, the enforcement phase of the investigation.

By the way, “Mara Salvatrucha” of “MS-13” roughly translates to “Salvadorian Crew” and I am so happy to see El Salvador taking some responsibility and working with the US on this.

“ICE has already sent a clear message to MS-13: you are not welcome in the United States and you will find no harbor here,” said ICE Acting Director Thomas D. Homan. “These arrests, in coordination with our Salvadoran counterparts, show that they will find no harbor in El Salvador either. Working together with our international law enforcement partners, we will continue to dismantle MS-13 piece by piece wherever they attempt to victimize innocent communities,” Homan added.

I love those strong words, rarely heard under the previous administration! Director Homan makes it very clear that we’re done with this nonsense, and we’re going to end it.

Caso Pilato and Operation Tecana focused on disrupting the capacity of the Stoners Locos Clique of MS-13 to obtain and utilize illicit proceeds. The Stoners Locos had generated $1.9 million in illicit revenue since 2015 through crimes such as extortion, robbery, vehicle theft, money laundering, assault, and homicide.

Keep it up, ICE! America is behind you all the way! Keep Winning!

Since they are always heavily-tattooed to ID themselves, why can’t they be summarily shot when found?  That’s the only way to ensure they’ll never come back or harm anyone else.

Er… because summary executions are unconstitutional and tyrannical.

Just remember that Trump is a Leftist turning further Left everyday and is running a co Presidency with Chuck and Nancy.  This is a perfect example of what you get by running and winning with a non conservative.

Donald Trump thinks Luther Strange will do a better job of helping him enforce the immigration laws than  Roy Moore?

… Except in Portland.  Portland, a couple days ago, announced that, since the a disproportionate number of gang members were Hispanic, PPD was purging all gang records.

I’d love to hear from a PPD member on this utterly brilliant move by his/her city parents.  But I really don’t have to.

We need to make an example of these punks. Deport them to North Korea.

I wish I could be as enthusiastic, but a couple observations.

An 18 month investigation means this started as an Obama administration initiative.  Give credit where credit is due.

53 arrests after an 18 month investigation.  I wonder how many new members they had in that time.  The most recent estimate I’ve seen says MS-13 has 30,000 to 50,000 members and associate members worldwide.

There is a lot of work to do.

Awwww…where is the compassion?  These are the “undocumented youth” ,  “For all intents and purposes American  kids”, as B. Hussein put it.  Why, some of them may even have been brought here “through no fault of their own”, recruited as minors by this gang.  C’mon, have a ❤️, let ’em stay!   And while we’re at it, let’s bring anybody related to them –wouldn’t wanna “break up,families”..

If MS-13 is prominent and active in Portland, an equivalent ICE presence is called for.

It’s a win.  And the troops should be thanked.

But are we fighting the right war?

Expensive targeted operations with cooperation of foreign agencies which net 53 bad guys after 18 months.  Is that the template?

At that rate, a two-term Trump deports less than 300 bad hombres.  Even a thousand such operations net 300,000 over two terms.

I say we need the infantry.  Send all the lawbreakers back and let Mexico use its sorting sombrero to identify the criminals.

Even a modest operation will get the self deportation started.

This sounds a little like our war on drugs, we tout great captures, acres sprayed, king pins arrested or killed and there is not even a blip of price impact on the streets meaning it was without meaning.  Hopefully it means we’re starting to be serious but this war must have many approaches, border control, profiling ( if a guy is covered with gang tattoos can he not be stopped and questioned about his immigration status, his affiliations?  Would it be unconstitutional to stop a KKK hooded person entering a black church and ask him a few questions?)  And of course spend some effort reviewing the total failure of our war on drugs which is what spawns this human garbage in the first place.

    Hear hear!

For those who think this is insufficient – and therefore not worth celebrating – I say two things:

    1. celebration of the good does not deny the need for improvement.
    2. more importantly: even one less bad hombre in an American neighborhood can make a world of difference to that neighborhood. I’ve lived in some rough neighborhoods – I’m inclined to say “good start” rather than “not enough”.
