Beautiful! Thanks for stiffening my old spine with pride.
I am proud to be an American.
Gruesome imagery but worthy to be a QOTD itself. I’m listening to the services now and putting myself back to that day in 2001. I remember what I said to my brother when the news first came out that the passengers fought back on Flight 93. I said “I hope so; I hope it’s true.” I am forever grateful to those passengers for giving us a shot in the arm on that awful day. We don’t just rescue, we fight.
America has a rendezvous with destiny. It was true in 1964 and remains as just as true today.
Thank you, Front Seat Cat. It is a good way to honor that day and today’s anniversary of it.
This is part of the Quote of the Day Series. If you would like to participate, we still have thirteen openings on September’s schedule.
That was outstanding – thank you for posting it – just got time to view a few minutes ago.
Thanks for this.
Fighting the good fight is all we can hope for or aspire to. We will never win but the fight is what matters.
We sometimes win – or at least beat back evil for a time….
