How much of Rob’s Cheers money have you burned through trying to make this profitable?

How is The Simpsons still on the air? It has now been awful for 18 seasons. Is it just riding on everyone’s fond memories of the first 10?

What was the single most debilitating laugh you ever had ? (and no, it doesn’t have to translate. “You had to be there” is acceptable. But curious if each of you has a specific memory.)

What about it. Not proof yet of anything we have had +3% quarterly growth before under Obama too. The yearly averages have been at 2% but the quarterlies have had bigger variance.

I think the more important question is where can I get a good mattress from? I’ve tried looking at local retailers but their commission driven model makes things so expensive. Also I need to buy some new luggage but I don’t know what to get. I need something both light and strong, guaranteed to fit airline standards.

A question for Rob: What do you think of this sitcom idea?

“Madam President” An alternate reality where Hillary Clinton won the election. Corruption, hijinks, pantsuits and yuks.

Bill always has a floozy nearby. Huma Abedin is chief of staff. She’s with or separated from Anthony Weiner in alternate episodes. Anthony Weiner goes full Carlos Danger. Bernie Sanders as the wacky neighbor. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s hair gets weirder in every episode. The staff are all illegal aliens. There’s a private server in the closet. Every reporter is romantically involved with a politician. Money is pouring in. Nancy Pelosi gets the craziest lines, but everybody is insane.

    Reflect current events, Hillary style.

It could have that universal “All In the Family” appeal, where liberals will watch because it’s the world they want, and conservatives will watch because it makes fun of Dems.

Added: We’ve already got the perky theme song:

A question for Rob: Okay then, what do you think of *this* sitcom idea?

Thomas Sowell has always said that the thing that cured him from Marxist ideology was actually working for the government. “I went to he University of Chicago as a Marxist. After a year of studying under Milton Friedman I was still a Marxist. But one summer of working for the government was enough to turn me around.”

So this is a sitcom that centers around a young economics major fresh out of college and his job working for a government agency. Perhaps he’s black, perhaps his name is Thomas. His voice-of-reason next door neighbor is named Milton.

Every episode features some amazing screwup at the government agency. Waste, fraud, mismanagement, bribery, graft, crazy government programs that backfire hilariously.
