Apropos of Liz Wheeler’s comment about other metrics besides presidential approval rating, consider Rasmussen‘s polling results on whether the country is moving in the right direction vs. on the wrong track. Right direction is plotted for all the years of the Obama administration and the Trump administration so far. While both peaked in the mid-40s, the values for Trump have been generally higher than for Obama, even at the beginning of the Obama term. Mr. Obama’s best moments, immediately after his reelection, barely rival Mr. Trump’s recent levels.
You probably won’t see this kind of data reported in the legacy media.
Glad to see your graph get more press!
