I’m sick about the whole process. There’s a part of me that really wants this bill to fail, and then we’ll watch Obamacare collapse, and then we try to extricate ourselves from health care. To endorse this bill is a travesty. (I know, just dreaming . . . )
This is just another case of Democrats establishing an entitlement and Republicans merely tweaking and then codifying it. Democrats can give us – or better yet, force on us – “fundamental change,” whereas Republicans cannot. It’s the one-way ratchet that, short of some sort of financial catastrophe, appears inevitable.
