FBI Says Stop Looking at Me!

Mollie Hemingway uses much more polite language than I would in covering the FBI’s “nothing to see here” whitewash of the targeted assassination attempt on the GOP congressmen:

So what does the FBI decide this information means? Well, the takeaway of the briefing was characterized well by the Associated Press headline about it: “FBI: Gunman who shot congressman had no target in mind.” The Associated Press reported the FBI:

  • believes the gunman “had no concrete plan to inflict violence” against Republicans,
  • “had not yet clarified who, if anyone, he planned to target, or why,”
  • believes he may have just “happened upon” the baseball game the morning of June 14, and that the attack appeared “spontaneous,”
  • are unclear on the “context” of Hodgkinson’s note with six names of members of Congress,
  • does not believe that photographs of the baseball field or other sites “represented surveillance of intended targets,” and
  • “painted a picture of a down-on-his-luck man with few future prospects.”

If I were Putin, I’d be jealous of that level of disinformation. Perhaps they’ve hacked the KGB disinformation manuals.

Why would this surprise you? The level of integrity in the FBI and the nation’s other security agencies is nil.

Literally true. It stopped being in mind when it made it to paper, picture, purchase, packing, and perpetration.

    Unbelievable!

More fruits of electing Obama. I’d like to formulate the following rules proceeding from this experience. Henceforth:

Let’s not elect to the presidency anyone who is anti – American.

    And let’s avoid Marxists.

    And lets avoid racialists.

I’ve said it before. We’d do just as well to shudder the whole lot of ’em. FBI, CIA, NSA, etc, etc, etc. Don’t you feel safe knowing these are the people in charge of our safety?

I would task them with finding the leakers, to the exclusion of any other activity: when those people are identified, with enough evidence to convict them, you can go back to playing James Bond.  And if you can’t find them, we’ll shut you down because you suck at being spies.

At this point, I don’t trust any of them. I say clean house. They are all leakers to me. You can’t tell me that an agent with any amount of integrity can stand by and watch this dog and pony show go on and not spill his guts to somebody about it. It would be the equivalent of me standing by and watching a fellow nurse or doctor give the wrong meds or do a wrong procedure and never saying a word. WTH!

Actually I sort of understand the FBI’s statement.

I view terrorism as furthering an political organizations goals by a campaign of a specific type of violence.  In this case the individual did use the tactics of a terrorists but he does not have a connection or allegiance with a political organization calling for and directing people to do a terrorist act.  The IRA fits this type of terrorism, the jihadist with their call to ISIS, (and what ever other names they use) also fit this type of terrorism.  This guy does not.  He did not kill in the name of the DNC or the Left or some other organization nor are those organizations calling for a campaign of this type of violence on their opponents at this time.

Given that the FBI is a Democrat organization staffed mainly with Democrat bureaucrats the chances that the FBI would find this guy a hard left terrorist with faint connections to the DNC, Bernie Sanders, etc approaches nil.

From a guy, Angelo M. Codevilla, who knows a thing or two about intel:

…the CIA serves not the United States but its own corporate interests and its partisan vision. It will continue to do so until a president who understands this remakes U.S. intelligence from the ground up.

    CPF,

Obviously, Hodgkinson turned into a Rhinoceros. It is not as uncommon a phenomenon as the FBI would have you believe.

    Remember just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean…

I don’t disagree with the terrorism call. I dispute that:

    • He wasn’t targeting Republicans
    • He didn’t case the venue
    • He “happened” upon the venue
    • He didn’t have a plan.

Right… terrorism, no, but political assassination, yes.
