Kathy Griffin Wants Attention Again; Update: Griffin Apologizes

D-list comic Kathy Griffin is transitioning to ISIS-inspired prop comedy. In a photo shoot, likely leaked to TMZ by Griffin herself, she is shown holding an effigy of President Donald Trump — in the form of his severed, bloody head.

Griffin’s attack on Trump is the latest in her desperate cries for attention. While hosting CNN’s New Year’s Eve with Anderson Cooper, she regularly drops the F-bomb live and once groped and pretended to fellate her co-host. She televised a public pap smear before a cheering crowd and mocked Jesus during an Emmy acceptance speech. Griffin has been banned from “Ellen,” “The Tonight Show,” and “The View,” among others.

According to TMZ, Griffin joked she would need to “move to Mexico once the pics got released.” Instead, she’ll just stay in her Bel-Air mansion, receive accolades from the far left, and yell at middle America for confusing her with Carrot Top and Andy Dick.

Once the photo hit social media, most conservatives were outraged, wondering if the press that demanded a rodeo clown be fired for wearing an Obama mask will hold Griffin to any standards whatsoever. Others wondered if the best punishment was simply to ignore the stunt, starving Griffin of the attention she so greedily craves. Which reaction do you recommend?

Update: Griffin has issued a video apology and has asked the photographer to take down the photo.

Are you saying Carrot Top is transitioning into Andy Dick? I’m so confused.

To normal Americans, this is the face of the Democratic party. Which is why they can’t win elections anymore.

If Democrats want to start winning elections again, they are going to have to separate themselves from the crazies they have been cultivating over the last couple decades. Democrats who are serious about having a voice at the table need to kick these people to the curb. They cannot grow their party with a base consisting mainly of leftist kooks, the media and Hollywood.* They are going to have to become a much smaller tent before they can become a bigger tent again.

Remember when comedians used to do this thing called “comedy”? Now all they do is stand up and shout out political screeds.

Comedy is dead. Another casualty of the Democratic Party.

Are you kidding?  Her agent is probably fielding multiple offers for her, now.  Somebody has to replace Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show after he kills himself out of guilt for that time he was nice to Donald Trump.

Trump is a political figure, but what really bothers me is that she is making a joke about something that actually happens to people: I can’t imagine how the family members of people who have actually been beheaded feel about this. Liberals are well and truly going off the deep end, and that is fine with me, except for the fact that they will hurt as many people as they can on their way down.

This is disgusting, whether it’s Trump or anyone else. Not funny. Or meaningful.

Keep it coming.  The more the left freaks out, the more reasonable we on the right look.

The reaction should be boredom followed by concern for her mental health. Celebrities tend to broken and self-destructive people. If this was all a plan to get more press it wouldn’t bother me but I’m worried she needs talk therapy and medication.

I think treating her with contempt rather than outrage is the best bet here. She’s irrelevant; let’s keep her that way.

If the press hadn’t demanded that the rodeo clown be fired, I wouldn’t be at all outraged finding out about the antics of this wack-a-do skank. True, you don’t watch her, for the same reason you don’t idly stare at a mentally ill, or mentally disabled, person who is opposing a caregiver by deliberately defecating in the middle of an aisle at Wal Mart. But there’s no reason to get angry over the behavior.

One of the essential elements of conflict, especially armed conflict, is to dehumanize your opponent before the killing commences. It doesn’t matter if you killed your opponent, because they are “Just the enemy.”

I sincerely hope that Civil War is not in our future. I don’t want it, and I don’t think most sensible people want it either.  But the extreme hard left is showing more and more propensity to dehumanizing the people they see is their opponents, namely, we conservatives.

He’s just Donald Trump. We can joke about killing him because he’s just Donald Trump, it’s not like he’s a real human being. Sarah Palin? She’s not a real woman. The NRA? They’re the real enemy of the Democratic Party, not “all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

I don’t understand how this doesn’t get her a visit from the Secret Service? All of this nastiness toward people in political positions is only an “outrage” if the press deems it an outrage, right? And, seriously, I totally agree with all the other comments from people who wonder how she got an award, how she gets any work at all, etc. etc. Was she ever funny?
