Oh, Sorry, We Should Have Mentioned He Was a Killer. Oops.

I have always believed that the New York Times will print anything that is anti-Israel, no matter who wrote it. If Hitler was still alive and rotting in a prison somewhere, I think he’d be a contributor to the NY Times Editorial page.

How can NYT, or anyone, agree with them doing something like this? I didn’t think it was possible to hate the NY Times more than I do, but I found out today that my Well of Hate for them goes pretty deep.

NYT Concedes It Should Have Mentioned That Palestinian Op-Ed Writer Is Convicted Killer

(CNSNews.com) – After a storm of protest, the New York Times on Monday acknowledged it should have informed readers that the author of an op-ed excoriating Israel over the imprisonment of Palestinians was in prison for terrorist murders.

An editor’s note tacked onto the end of the article’s online version conceded that the op-ed had “neglected to provide sufficient context by stating the offenses of which he was convicted. They were five counts of murder and membership in a terrorist organization.”

Marwan Barghouti, who is serving five consecutive life sentences for the murder of five people in terror attacks, wrote the op-ed published Sunday to explain a decision by some 1,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israel to begin a hunger strike.

This is a long story, but it is really worth reading. Spread the word, folks. I notified Drudge, and I hope he runs with it.

I especially enjoyed from the office of Mr Netanyahu:

What’s next? Op-eds written by famed doctors Ayman al-Zawahiri and Bashar al-Assad?

Amazing that anyone still reads the NYT. The bias is so thick you can cut it with a knife. Even The Guardian is not this bad: at least they are honest about their leanings.

The news media has ruined me on trusting anything they say without video evidence. Hell, I’m even skeptical of video evidence now.

I don’t understand why or how anyone continues to read the New York Times. Why would anyone financially support an organization that promotes this propaganda, especially when one realizes the organization gives free press and possible financial support to terrorists and murderers? I just don’t understand. It’s insanity.

Some more on Barghouti (hat tip: Powerline).

We should remember that the Times’ new advertising campaign focuses on the paper as truth-teller. Yup.

And the New York Times is owned and run by Jews. Those people ought to be ashamed of themselves.

This morning I was thinking on posting this disgrace by the Times myself when I fist saw it. I just didn’t have the time. It’s just so telling how deep is the left’s hatred for Israel. Despicable.

I say, let the thousand Palestinians starve themselves. It will be a suicide, but at least it won’t be a murder-suicide, like they’ll be committing if they get out.

I’ll never understand why American Jews don’t take their own side. Except–are they so put off by the treatment of the ones who do, like Pam Geller?

Geller was excoriated by ALL “people of faith” for those posters showing photos of al Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem with Hitler. Well, sorry folks, the photos were real. But people reacted with the horror you’d expect (but do not ever see) when the blood libel against Jews is republished, somewhere in the world, every Spring. It’s just in SUCH bad taste to remind us of the historical fact that al Husseini spent the war years in Berlin with Hitler, and was promised that the Final Solution in the Middle East would be his to carry out. Even though it’s true, it’s just mean to say so. Geller is a shrill Jewish Meshuganeh! Can there be anyone the Times hates more? Why, a Palestinian murderer is a model of taste and restraint compared to her…

Yeah, that context does add a little glimpse into motive, no?

I don’t either Kay. Although they constantly are sending me invitations. I would tell them to stop except it gives me small pleasure to see them waste effort and money on solicitations directed to me. I always try to avoid their website too.

The one thing that annoys me about Drudge is that his headlines do not include a ” – source” after each. It seriously annoys me to click on a headline of interest and find it leads me to NYT or some other annoying website; of course, I immediately close the NYT page, but still it annoys me.

Sidenote: I don’t know what it is about my internet searching/use that results in the tracking algorithms sorting me as a lefty, but they do. Almost all direct mail/email solicitations come from the left side. So embarrassing.

OK back to the OP topic.

Pam is my heroine, and I quit reading anyone who criticizes her.

I use Firefox and Bing, and have an Ad Block Plus. I don’t get any of their garbage. The second I find I have been diverted to the NYT from Drudge or even our own members, I close my browser. Go back to the start page.

Ad Block Plus. Never go anywhere without it. It can be a pain in the neck, but it beats trying to surf without it.

The scary part is, roughly half the country agrees with the NYT.

So Jonah Goldberg should be happy the NYT only accused him of supporting Trump and not genocide or such.
