Terror in Stockholm Tonight

What we know now is that one or more assailants hijacked a truck in central Stockholm and drove a truck into a crowd on the busiest street in the city at 2:53 pm, just ahead of the Friday afternoon rush.

Three people have been confirmed dead and 15 or more are seriously injured, all of the hospitals are on high alert, and all public transport has been shut down, including the traffic in and around the central station.

Two hours after the initial alarm, the visibly shaken Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven confirmed that this was a terror attack and that all government buildings are put on lockdown.

There is no word yet on the number of suspects but one person has been arrested. The police have confirmed that it was not a suicide attack and that they have surveillance video of what they believe is a person of interest.

It’s the strangest thing because even though we knew — and we did know — that it was just a matter of time, this is still a shock. Seeing people run for their lives in central Stockholm, the bodies in the streets and the crowds of people, crying or just staring blankly; it breaks my heart and shakes me to my core.

Dark forces have been at work here for a long time, but we decided not to see. Rather than face the truth we spent our time making monsters out of those who spoke of things we should have known. And the price we pay for this is steep, the consequences for our willful ignorance are dire.

The things you fail to defend will surely be taken from you, be it love, land or freedom, this I am sure of and this much I know.

This is not only a time for heartbreak and fear, but one for resolve and decisions. Either we protect our freedom and safeguard this land or we capitulate to this evil emptiness.

Freedom and fear, justice and cruelty are at war.

And we must never be neutral between them.

Ok….will the government still be in denial over what is going on?  My guess is yes.

    Very glad you are safe!

Thank you for posting, Annika. The continuation of the takeover of Sweden saddens us all, especially knowing it will get much worse, because nothing is being done to stop it. In fact, it appears that the Swedish government, the news media, and the police themselves are acting in concert to cover up what is happening there.

My terribly harsh words I stated last night in another post are just as true today:

“Sweden, I fear, has been so infected by the falsehood of Socialism being their Savior, that they will sit quietly and watch themselves bleed out.”

“Prison is not for punishment in Sweden.  We get people in better shape.”

These savages must be terrified now!

Facebook has a feature for people to mark themselves as safe after an attack. The attacks are so common that this makes sense.

The Swedish men I know are proud to be descendants of warriors. The will to intimidate evil-doers lurks somewhere beneath the self-hating political climate.

And nothing will change. Sweden will continue to import invaders and murderers in the name of “compassion”.

So sorry, Annika. Even if you know it might be coming, it is still shocking. When anyone ceases to be shocked, we all have an even deeper problem.

I wonder what it will take to make the government face reality.

It will take… nothing. Nothing will convince them, until it is much too late. They see clearly that they have cut their femoral artery, yet they sit and stare at the blood while saying to each other, “It’s not as bad as it looks, everybody is exaggerating the problem.”

My prayers go out to Sweden.   I studied in Stockholm many years ago.  Last summer,  I traveled thru Sweden;  Uppsala, Stockholm, Vadstena, Linköping, Kalmar, and Lund.   I visited the many beautiful churches,  in cities and towns.   There was glorious music (Bach, Bach, and more Bach),  and the art is stunning, the architecture continues to inspire,  and I am grateful to the Swedes for preserving all of it.    I suppose one reason for the trip was to see a bit of Europe,  the “old” Europe which once had confidence in its culture and heritage.  I avoided the “no-go” areas.

I have a plan to see Notre Dame – Paris, and Chartres,  before they become mosques .

I’m really sorry, Annika. These attacks always seem so pointless and surreal as well as terrifying.

Agreed.  Too many European countries are doubling down in their denial of problems associated with the ROP.

This will always be true.  And you have to choose.  There is no neutrality.  Not when your families are taken from you in the cities and towns you call home.

Also, what’s trending on Facebook, right now?

Raytheon is set to make more money, because Tomahawks.

Yep.  The West certainly has its priorities straight.  It certainly does.

I see this at the bottom of the post:  Published in Islamist Terrorism

Have they said so publicly yet?  Maybe it was just some guy named Sven who ran out of Snus or something and fell into a bad mood on his way to the farmer’s market.

(Who am I trying to kid.  We know what this is.  We knew the minute the first details came across the news.)

Sadly, they’re not pointless.  This form of jihad has been proven effective over the centuries against godless peoples.  And judging by the Swedish government’s head-in-the-sand reactions, it’s effective in this case too.

Pacifists who say “war isn’t the answer” haven’t faced an implacable foe.

I have never been able to decide which statement is more ignorant.

“War isn’t the answer!” – Tell that to the people of Kuwait, who we liberated in a matter of hours.

“War never solved anything!” – Tell that to Hideki Tojo, Emperor Hirohito, Hitler, and Mussolini.

Annika, Do you think he is really serious? Or is it more bloviating that will disappear in a week?

Sweden will ‘NEVER GO BACK’ to mass immigration after Stockholm terror, says shocked PM

SWEDEN’S prime minister vowed his country would “never go back” to the days of mass immigration after it emerged the Stockholm attacker was a failed asylum seeker.
