Compare and contrast. The hypocrisy of socialist democrats knows no bounds.

It is almost as if these people have neither a memory of their own words, nor a believe that the internet recalls all….

It’s not so much that as that I’m not sure it’ll matter. Who’s going to call them out on it, at least in an area where it’ll make a difference?

One thing about liberals. They will say something, on TV or anywhere else it is recorded. Then, a short time later, they will deny they said it, even if you play it back for them. They will swear they didn’t say that, or they didn’t mean that, or it was taken out of context. Everything they say has a short expiration date, if they deem it so. But when a conservative says something, 40 years ago, a liberal will try to hang it around their neck today.

Liberals are never responsible for their behavior, whatever they do or say.

McConnell has just put a knife into the heart of our We the People republic.

Can a nation continue to exist when “advice and consent” is allowed to happen with less than 60 votes?

Slight hi-jack. The “we salute you” line reminds me of the awesome Budweiser ‘Real Men of Genius’ commercials … so crack open an ice cold Bud Light Mr. FilibusterEnding Reid Rule Inventor … you know it had to be done!

And that is the long and short of it on so many issues … Their desire to be free from responsibility.

Personally, if a politician issues ominous declarations without his picture inside a Snapchat-Ghost frame — I know they aren’t speaking from the heart.

With any ‘good’ liberal, its always the end of the Republic… ‘unless we do it then its justified! (see what we did there, always right never wrong)’

I’m sorry but this concept is integral to the life of the Republic and should be espoused by all Americans.

But not as a hyperbolic blame rather as we all do for the maintenance of our own lives — planning for the future while enjoying life to the (safe) fullest, knowing it can end at any time.

The nation in on fire, and burning to the ground Randy! If the 60-vote threshold goes, where shall I go? What shall I do? :-)

    “a knife into the heart”

He’s stealing from Chuck Schumer, who frequently uses “this is a dagger to the heart” no matter what the issue is.

Basically there are only five issues that constitutionally require more than a simple majority vote. Impeachment, over riding a veto, treaties, amending the Constitution by calling a constitutional convention and expelling a member of congress.

Everything else is by rules of the Senate not the constitution.

It is a good thing that Ricochet prides itself on civil discourse because my response to Sen. Merkley would be most un-civil.

Except they did it to all of us. The left always destroys the checks and balances, it seems. But yes, the irony is still delicious…for now. Carpe Diem.

For the left, reasons are not reasons. They are weapons to be used and then discarded in favor of others when they are no longer useful. They are useful only to the extent that the right will let its behavior be affected by them.

I’ve sometimes seen this behavior on the right, too, but on the right there are more people who are attached to reasons as reasons.
