Dead on, Jon. Well done.
I’m thinking John Bolton to replace Michael Flynn. Bolton knows Washington and would clean house as well as anyone.
Dead right. We have sort of figured out the power of the teachers unions but we have little grasp of what civil service laws and bureaucratic incentives have done to us over the years. It’s a very difficult and challenging problem. There are some outstanding professionals in these places and we need a corps of professionals, but the ideological pollution our best and brightest pick up as they acquire the credentials we use for hiring, warps the overall bureaucratic culture. Moreover, their interest is to grow their budgets because growth opens opportunities for promotion. Since we can’t have ideological tests for our bureaucrats we must just cut with a chain saw and a broad sword, then rebuild, offering the growth we need to recruit and promote the folks we want. This is revolution and it’s time we knew it. They do.
This should be the talking points on all the major networks if they cared about our Republic. Yes, very disturbing on many levels. When Trump said he inherited a mess, he wasn’t kidding. There is not a branch of office or subject that doesn’t need revised. You can’t really get going with much of an agenda when you have to spend time cleaning up, deciding who can be trusted. I’m sure that’s the Left’s goal.
It is also disturbing that Obama didn’t go home (Hawaii, Chicago – pick one) build a nice legacy library and work for peace. He entrenched, with the big house in burbs and has created a large group of past supporters to throw wrenches and keep his goals going. That is a first? Our Republic is a battlefield of sorts – we won the election but could lose the battle if not careful – it’s just getting started.
Thanks for the good report.
Wheels is good people.
