A Picture Can Be Worth a Thousand Words
I have been on the road. I have seen one Trump yard sign and no Hillary yard signs. On cars, I have seen nothing. One would not know that a Presidential election is underway. This sign may capture the tone of public opinion.

It has been around as a Meme for a while. That said, I live a in carbuncle blue locale. Pre-convention, all that I saw were Bernie bumper stickers; no Hillary’s. Post convention, still no Hillary’s. I have actually seen a Trump\Pence sign (minus the lynch mob).
If the voters are not stepping up here, there is a deep trough in places that count.
Scrappy people speak their mind in Bristol, PA, on the edge of Philly. Just sayin’.
On a drive through part of UpNorth Wisconsin I saw some Trump signs and no Clinton signs, although there was plenty of evidence of support for other Democrat candidates. I also saw a couple of Burma Shave type series of signs, both of which implied that big money donors support Republicans, and that one ought to vote for Democrats to keep money out of politics. I’m only a little surprised that they’re still pushing that meme.
Others should chime in. What have you seen?
I saw several Trump signs and no Clinton signs driving from Chicago to Hillsdale last Thursday. The Trump signs were in a town about ten miles west of Hillsdale.
About a dozen Trump lawn signs, no Hillary, driving from Bucks County, PA, to Bethlehem (Lehigh Co.) yesterday.
Must be where you are driving. I had the misfortune to be traveling through South Carolina on 85 last month. Cars and trucks practically had full-sized Trump flags flying from their bumpers.
Northwest Cook County, Illinois. Nobody has any signs at all. I’ve seen at most seven or eight Hillary bumper stickers. No signage for Senate, and this is Rep. Duckworth’s district.
I see no Hillary or Trump signs. My neighbors speak a foreign language. It is like I am in another country.
Speaking of signs, I drove by a church sign in our town asking the question, “If you woke up tomorrow with only the things you had thanked God for, what would you be missing?”
I thought smugly that I would have everything important to me–husband, family, friends, church, home, pets, my town. Then I realized with horror that I’d be stark naked because I don’t recall ever thanking God for my clothes. I am never satisfied with how I’m dressed, so clothes aren’t a source of gratitude.
Ahahahahaa! Excellent Pencil!
Our family and friends have all been noticing the same thing Paul. It’s unlike anything my husband and I have seen (or in this case not seen) in our fairly long lifetimes.
In north Texas, no yard signs to speak of. Bumper stickers, maybe a dozen a day. Oddly for Texas, about 60/40 Trump. I expected it to be more like 80/20.
I drove across mid-southern Michigan twice this weekend . Saw a bunch of Trump yard signs and two giant electronic billboards for Trump . Not one instance of Hillary supporters .
Driving through small towns in Wisconsin today I saw a lot of signs. In Ladysmith a lot of Trump, in Pepin a lot of Clinton.
Drove around the Adirondacks in upstate NY this weekend. Four Trump signs and one Trump bumper sticker. One sign did say “Hillary”, but the full text was “Hillary for Prison 2016”.
I have been forbidden by management from wearing my “Hillary for Prison 2016” t-shirt to work on Friday. I wore it once, and all the comments I got were positive. In fact, I had a wonderful conversation with a manager who told me he had been to the Trump rally the previous week, and he was most favorably impressed with the attendees and Trump himself. He also mentioned the disgusting “protesters” outside who shouted curses and interfered with the attendees in line. The second time I wore the t-shirt, my boss’s boss took me aside and told me I was not to wear it again. I have an idea who complained, but I am not allowed to know.
On my way to work every morning, there is a big Trump sign in a vacant lot next door to a little house that has just been extensively remodeled. Here in Western Washington, I have seen dozens of Bernie bumper stickers, but only a few Hillary. They don’t need to advertise-they know their candidate will win in Deep Blue Western WA.
I live in Michelle Bachmann’s old district. Its pretty conservative around here. I have seen tons of Republican signs for state legislator, etc., but not a single Trump sign or bumper sticker. I’ve seen 3 Hilary signs, but they all are in the same guys yard!
This is a QGIS screen shot on which I superimposed a faint green line (hand-drawn) to show my current bicycle tour. The red lines are bicycle treks, including most of my previous ones. The blue dots are locations of township halls, and the red squares are ones I’ve visited and photographed. (You can click to bigify.) This time I started at my home near Battle Creek, MI, and am now in south-central Minnesota.
In Michigan and Wisconsin I saw a lot of Trump signs – many hundreds of them if not thousands – and one Hillary one. That one was in western Wisconsin in a yard that also displayed a Russ Feingold sign. There were other Feingold signs in Wisconsin, but in only one of those did I see the Hillary H (which I presume also stands for hell). There have also been several Hillary for Prison 2016 signs.
After crossing the Mississippi River into Minnesota, I saw a lot fewer Trump signs, but there have been some. And I’ve seen no Hillary signs. There are a lot of yard signs, though, for other political offices.
Quincy? A few years ago the Coldwater city fathers got themselves a bit of a fascist reputation when it comes to political signs on the old town square. They don’t like dissent, it would seem.
I know I have seen one Trump I think a few more can’t remember. Only a Hillary bumper sticker or two. I will be honest its a waste of money. Who is going to vote based on a sign. It might remind someone on election day that there is an election but the longer they are out the person gets used to them so the less likely it will be a reminder.
Me, many times.
It was in either Quincy or Allen.
My neighborhood is filled with political yard signs for the upcoming November election.
They are almost all for the upcoming city council races. I think it is displacement. I have seen a few signs for state rep and state senate, one for US representative nothing for the presidential election, but several hundred city council signs.
(This is in Galveston County, TX)

My block in the people’s republic of Oak Park IL has the typical number of Hillary signs, but there are significantly fewer Dem signs in the town than a normal presidential year. I have yet to see a Trump sign around here and I usually see a smattering of GOP signs.
Here is the takeaway of my informal survey of yard displays I’ve seen in Lebanon and Lancaster Counties (PA): there is definitely more enthusiasm on the Trump side of things than there are on the Clinton side this year.
So far, there are two properties I’ve seen with Clinton signs, one had a single sign out front, and the other had multiple signs at two yard intervals along the road. This is in marked contrast to the number of Obama signs I’ve seen when he ran in 2012.
There’s definitely many more Trump signs around, though I suspect not as many as there were Romney signs when he ran.
In Michigan Bay area see more Trump signs, but not very many. One no Trump Sign, a few Hillary signs, and one Hillary for Prison sign. Very low count. Gut says Trump is up here in this blue collar union area, but I thought Romney was up here in 2012 by signage. We are a heavy democrat area. By the signs, you wouldn’t know it is a presidential election year.
Maybe slightly lower than average number of Hillary signs. No Trump signs where normally there would be a least a few for the Republican candidate. Austin is still a Democratic bastion in Texas. Austin was largely a Bernie friendly town in the democratic primary, I don’t think many people here have transitioned their support to Hillary. Strangely in the northern suburbs which tend to be more conservative I am not seeing any signs at all. I think there is a decided lack of enthusiasm for this year’s vote on both sides. I expect a lower than normal turnout election at least locally.
I think the reason that there are fewer trump signs is because of heavy social pressure.
Decades of yelling at men haven’t made them suddenly start liking human manatees, but it does make them lie.
Ha ha ha. Not in so many words, but agree with this.
Also, knowin there are others of a similar mind as you is motivational. Doesn’t change minds, but does mobilize.
