Good perspective. Always like OAN’s long form interviews.
I guess I’m out of it – I’ve never heard of OAN
I’m uncomfortable with the idea that Jon has a face below his nose.
Jon. It is time conservative voices actually learned about a well designed VAT. Combined with a low income tax, or even better linked to it, it is self collecting, stimulates savings and investment, fosters trade, is almost self collecting, is almost impossible to cheat on. Get someone to explain to you how it worked in New Zealand. This is the tax we need. A higher flat tax will hit the middle class so heavily it will either never pass or it will be distorted so that it excludes most potential tax payers. By adding the cash cow of a VAT the flat tax can be very low so that it doesn’t raise taxes for most middle class earners. Cruz’s tax proposal demonstrates a deep understanding of all the tax and revenue issues and deserves a more serious study by people in a position to influence conservatives.
Gabriel looks good in the pink dress, but I think the wig is over the top.
