So let me put it this way: this community we’ve built here — that we’ve all built together — is, as one recent Reagan member put it, the modern-day alehouse. It’s where a lot of us gather — and we don’t all agree on things — to hash over the events of the day, to debate, to joke, to talk about big things and small things. Politely. Genially. Like civilized people.
And we’d like you to join. If you’ve been listening to the podcasts or lurking here on the page, fine. Join. We need you here.
Don’t think you’ll ever want to post or comment?

Thanks Rob – the bang for the buck here is so far in the plus column that there’s….a hell of a lot of pluses there. In the place where people normally store plus signs.
In other words, what I get from the site is worth way more than I chip in to be a member. That’s why I plan on staying forever. Like an in-law who moved into that cute little apartment over the garage that you wanted to use for a game room.
Forever.
In that spirit, I just bumped to Thatcher. Mouth and money, etc.

Even before Ricochet I was an admirer of the work of one of the editors, so it is just amazing to me that with Ricochet I can actually converse with this person. Yeah, like five years ago.
For things like what Tory War Writer wrote about earlier. And the NTK earlier today. And Nordlinger’s Christmas special. And the Ramble was swell.

Totally worked with me Rob, wait I’m a member already. Where do I sign up for life? Seriously, Ricochet is the place I go to first for in-depth news and analysis from smart, engaged people. I’m never disappointed, even though Mr. Trump seems to be WAY too popular here. That I don’t understand…yet. I like probably 90% of what Trump says but never the way he says it. It’s the other 10% that has me really worried. As a Conservatiarian I’m concerned by his flippant attitude toward the Constitution and Rule of Law. Kind of reminds me of someone else who rules by ‘phone and pen’. We need a return to Constitutional Republican government IMHO. I think ANY of the other Republican candidates left in the race would do a better job of that.
Since I am already a member it could not work. Oddly I seem to be sending out Ricochet gift memberships out to people all morning.
