As evidence about the horrific mass murders in San Bernardino unfolded, and explanations about the killers’ motive devolved to the familiar statement, “we can’t rule out terrorism,” the rest of us shocked by this slaughter wondered why the authorities were so hesitant.
The funny thing is (if one can use the word “funny” in this context) that the common locution “act of terrorism” is itself a politically correct euphemism for the accurate description – “Muslim murderers acting in the name of Allah.” We use the term “terror” so we can avoid using the terms Muslim or Islam or Allah. Truth is, the San Bernardino killings are terrifying no matter what motivated the killers. But that is not what we mean by “terror” these days.
“And throwing their allies under the bus for this massive advantage is a small price to pay.”
In totalitarian power games, today’s ally is tomorrows victim.
a) I do not recall the MSM having any problem with #prayforparis.
b) Maybe people pray to God for help because they know better than to expect it from any government.
The irony that I see is that one of the few kinds of speech that would be allowed under the progressive regime you describe is pro-Muslim speech, and criticism of Allah, Mohammad, Islam itself, or even Muslim violence would be prohibited as “defamation of religion.”
A response to the lawyer representing the “suspect’s” family :
A woman, a mother of two, was murdered by a muslim fanatic the other day. Two bullets entered her body shattering the base of her skull. A short time after that a man was murdered by a muslim fanatic. Bullets riddled his body from his right hip to his left shoulder blade. A 26 year old woman died instantly at the same time from a bullet entering her frontal lobe; a bullet fired by a muslim fanatic.
And there are some who still complain that words are hurting some people’s feelings.
