Another Republican who can’t be trusted to speak in public. He says most of the right things, but he leaves out words, misspeaks, etc. all over the place, and this with the most sympathetic possible audience!
at about 42 minutes… McCarthy points out that Obama is protected by not sending bills to his desk… tsk tsk Mr. McCarthy.
Also – his description of Reid is awfully similar to the way I would describe McConnell: As refusing to send bills to Obama’s desk… bills that, like all others, would be subject to veto.
EDIT:[So, Here’s my question to you, Mr. Peter Robinson: ] what is there to be said about that?
Peter Robinson: (Asking about what will happen in the last two years of Obama’s term when there is a GOP majority House and Senate) So, you will put bill after bill after bill on his (Obama’s) desk and make him reject them? A reform agenda.
McCarthy: (Empatically) Yea, that’s our job!
Did this happen and I just missed it?
James Jones pegged it in comment one, this guy couldn’t articulate his way out of a wet paper bag. Flat out embarrassing.
Peter was right, he’s just declared his candidacy for “speaker”. This is just cruel. If he has real political strategy or policy chops, he ought to work behind the scenes until he learns to speak effectively.
A charming BSer , but he’s our BSer
