Your Daily Dose of Crazy

Just in case you didn’t already know, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) who styles himself a “Democratic Socialist” is running for the Presidential nomination of the Democrat party.

What is probably just as commonly known on the Right is that Sanders is a moonbat. Now, we get to revel in the crazy and the tortured knots into which the left will tie themselves to defend him from this.

It seems that in a bizarre, rambling, stream-of-consciousness style essay written for the Vermont Freeman, Sanders endorses the idea that women fantasize about being raped by three men when their husbands make love to them.

Seriously.

I’m not sure how this compares to tying Seamus’ crate to the roof of the American Family Truckster, but it scores pretty highly on the weird-stuff-o-meter.

Have you ever wondered what the death of a Presidential candidacy sounded like, aside from this? Here it is.

Let’s be honest. Bernie Sanders is only running because he was so low on the list that Hillary did not bother to buy him off or intimidate him. Besides the Dems want atleast one other person to run so it looks like democracy instead of the oligarchy it is.

Jeffrey Tucker has a decent article on FEE this morning, on why it is OK to have choices in deodorant.

I assumed the Clintons were begging him to run (and may have even paid him to run) because Bernie Sanders is the only possible candidate who could make Hillary look young and vibrant by comparison.

As to this particular revelation, I think Ace stakes out the proper position:

As a tactical matter, there is no way to get the left to stop with its incessant Censorship Crusades except to visit equal pain upon them.

The whole piece at Ace of Space is worth reading.

One interesting theory that I ran across a while back was that HRC had actually encouraged the Sanders campaign as a sort of stalking horse for her own campaign. The theory is that by getting someone who was clearly to her left she could pose a moderate, and that Sanders would be leftward enough to be essentially un-nominate-able for the Dems, and that Sanders would also let Hillary run on her (comparative) youth and gender.

Procter and Gamble are coming out with a new deodorant, Vermont Breeze, strong enough for a capitalist, sensitive enough for a socialist.

Heh. Good one. But socialists don’t need deodorant, do they? It’s hard to work up a sweat while you’re redistributing the fruits of someone else’s labor.

Actually the 23 kinds of deodorants are the result of trying to find the right formula for aging hippie socialists through trial and error. No luck so far….

Equal pain will most assuredly come upon the Left’s own pretty people. Just not necessarily delivered by the Right.

How can you not love Bernie? I fear he’s the closest were going to get to a run from Joe Biden. Enjoy it while it lasts before Bernie has to bow to HRC.

I join in Belt’s theory. Bernie Sanders is in the race for the sole purpose of making Hillary look young and sane. Not an easy trick on either count.

I agree. But how come when a wacky Republican joins the race in the primaries it gets smeared on all the other Republicans?

Another question; Bernie is Bernie Sanders (I) for Independent party. Is he seeking the D nomination? Or is he just running? What a joke.

I think you mean socialists don’t use deodorant.

Hippies are described as “smelly” for a reason.

I really don’t feel like reading that essay – Has anyone come to any conclusions about its sincerity? I can see three different ways to interpret it:

    1. He meant it when he wrote it. Ick.
    2. He was being ironic/satirical/darkly humorous. I think this is the official position of his campaign.
    3. He was trying to be intellectual, exploring the dark currents of the reigning patriarchy and how it warps the beliefs and attitudes of people trapped in its dystopian maw. Essentially, your typical gender studies thesis paper.

But hey, the real question is, what does this say about conservatives that they feel compelled to obsess over this? Right? Amirite?!?

I’m going to go fantasize about chocolate chip cookies now…

He also discussed men’s inherent desire to sexually abuse women/girls, and as evidence of this pointed to how well newspapers with headlines like “12-yr old girl raped by 14 men” tend to sell.

I’m pretty sure that no matter whatever vein Sanders was trying to tap, all that’s coming up is “nuts.”
