Lileks, Long, and Goldberg — Live in D.C.

shutterstock_111340814Longtime readers may remember that James Lileks, Rob Long, and Jonah Goldberg were among the group that assembled in Washington last fall to discuss their contributions to the (hilarious) book The Seven Deadly Virtues at the American Enterprise Institute.

Well, they’re doing it again! At 6 PM on Monday, May 11, James, Rob, and Jonah will join Tucker Carlson, Steve Hayes, Jonathan Last, and P.J. O’Rourke at AEI to discuss their pieces in the follow-up volume, The Dadly Virtues: Adventures from the Worst Job You’ll Ever Love. It’s a witty and smart collection of observations on fatherhood, delivered just in time for Father’s Day. For more information on the event, visit here. We hope you’ll join us in D.C.

Not sure how much of a stickler you are for accuracy in your photoshop rendering. Buuuuut the Capital’s dome seems to getting another one of it’s decadal futzing that leaves the exterior obsured by a ton of scaffolding. After 60 million of your tax dollars they hope to have it visibly clean again in time for president Walker inaugural in January of 2017.

Hoping to be there, if inertia and traffic don’t win out (they do, sometimes).

Mrs III & I registered for the frivolities.

I saw their last set of collected essays on “The Seven Deadly Virtues” that was honcho’ed by Jonathan Last. It was also held at AEI. Jonathan had nearly the same cast of conservatives for this book do a semi roasting each other….  Lot of fun watching them live.
